Enjoy caroling at the Washington Candlelight Stroll tonight beginning at 6:30 pm on the square in downtown Washington.  Refreshments and free carriage rides will be available from 6-8:30 pm too. All stores & shops are open until 9 pm. For more information, call 444-9921.

The Stocking Stuffer Store, a Christmas Store for kids 12 and under to shop for parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, even the dog, opens today through December 20th at Northwoods Mall & The Shoppes at Grand Prairie (open on weekends only). All proceeds benefit Crittenton Centers' Crisis Nursery.

The Peoria Rivermen take on the Chicago Wolves Friday night beginning at 7 pm in Carver Arena and the Quad City Flames on Saturday beginning at 7 pm at the Peoria Civic Center. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat opens for its 18th year at Eastlight Theatre on Friday beginning at 7:30 pm and runs through Sunday this weekend.  The Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice favorite has become a holiday tradition for Central Illinois. Performances are at 7:30 pm except for Sunday's performance. which is at 2 pm. Corn Stock for Kids' Willy Wonka Jr, the classic story of a poor boy who finds a golden ticket in his chocolate bar to possibly take over the chocolate factory owned by the famous Willy Wonka, opens Friday night at the Theatre Center.  Performances are at 7:30 pm on Friday & Saturday and 2:30 pm on Sunday. Tommy Johnagin, who has performed at the Montreal Comedy Festival, The Late Show with David Letterman and will have his first half-hour special for Comedy Central air in early 2009, will perform at the Jukebox Comedy Club on Friday and Saturday at 8 and 10:30 pm.  Tickets are $13 ($12 if paying with cash) except for the late show Friday which is just $10 with cash. The 24th Festival of Lights in East Peoria displays include FOLEPI's Winter Wonderland, the almost 2-mile drive-through electric park which has been enhanced for 2008 with new programmable LED light displays, FOLEPI's Village & Santa Claus, an indoor winter carnival featuring decorated trees, displays, a mini-passenger train, full-sized carousel and other rides for younger children plus Santa & reindeer visits, the Narrated Nativity, where life-size structures take on a three-dimensional appearance at night with a 2-minute narration available by tuning to radio station 1610 AM, plus much, much more. The TazWood Dance Company production of "A Feast of Dance" is Friday through Sunday at the Illinois Central College Perfoming Arts Center beginning at 7:30 pm except on Sunday, which begins at 2:30 pm.  A reception will follow the Friday performance.  Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students & senior citizens and are available by calling 694-5136.

Enjoy Critter Christmas at the Peoria Zoo with your chance to visit with Santa plus watch our animals enjoy their gifts. This year's Jingle Bell Run, one of the largest run/walk events in the country, will be held on Saturday from 10 am - Noon at the Riverplex in downtown Peoria. The Jingle Bell Run helps raise awareness and funds to help fight arthritis and related diseases. This race offers a 5K run, 5K walk, Fun Walk, and a costume competition. The 25th annual "Knight Before Christmas", the annual Craft Show fundraiser sponsored by the Richwoods High School cheerleaders, will take place from 9 am - 3 pm this Saturday at the school.
