100 Minutes of Theatre continues tonight at Corn Stock Theatre.  Their  Winter Lab Theatre presents ten plays, approximately ten minutes each, directed by 10 different directors. The Lab's well-known "Evening of One-Acts" concept is given a little twist. Performances are through Saturday each starting at 7:30 pm.  Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students 18 & under and are on sale at the Corn Stock Box Office or by calling 676-2196.

Funny Valentines continues tonight at the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield.  The show is a charming romantic comedy of boy marries girl...boy and girl divorce...and boy is desperate to get girl back.  On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, doors open at 6 pm, buffet is at 6:30 pm, and the show is at 8 pm.  On Sundays, doors & the buffet open at noon, and the show is at 1:30 pm. Also tonight, Woodruff High School presents their Annual Gilbert & Sullivan Dinner Theatre from 6 - 8 pm. This year the theatre presents "Pirates of Penzance," with the show will run through Saturday. For more information, call 672-6665.

Winter Jam 2009 will be held in the Peoria Civic Center Arena beginning at 7 pm on Friday. Featured artists include Toby Mac, Hawk Nelson, The Afters, NewSong and Francesca Battistelli. Family Fest 2009 will be held in the Peoria Civic Center Exhibit Hall Saturday from 10 am - 7 pm. Admission is $5 per person or $15 for a Family Four Pack. This year's attractions include 10 Fun on the Run inflatables, an Upper Limits Rock Wall, the OSF Mobile Safety Van, the Peoria Fire Safety House, and much more. There will also be an official casting call for the CBS reality show "Survivor."  Family Fest 2009 is sponsored by the Children's Hospital of Illinois, Busey Bank, Pitcher Perfect Siding and Window Co., and WMBD-TV.

The Peoria Symphony Orchestra presents Ellington Elegy at 8 pm on Saturday in the Peoria Civic Center Theater. The concert will feature the traditional symphony orchestra on stage plus a big band, in two contrasting versions of Grieg's Peer Gynt followed by some of Ellington's greatest works for the symphony orchestra, sharing the spotlight with the Bradley's Jazz Ensemble.  Tickets are $35 to $71 and are available by calling 671-1096 or online HERE.

Willow Knolls Theatre continues their series of the Met Opera Live with the performance "Orfeo ed Euridice."  The live transmission in HD of Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice will begin at Noon. This complete vision for Gluck, with production and choreography by Mark Morris and costumes by Isaac Mizrahi, features the artistry of Stephanie Blythe in the title role. Danielle de Niese portrays Orfeo's adored wife, Euridice, who inspires the hero to face the underworld for her sake. Stay Strong,  a benefit for Jake Charlton - a 7th grader at Central Grade School in Washington who suffered a spinal cord injury and is now paralyzed from the waist down - will be held at the Countryside Banquet Facility in Washington from 2-10 pm on Saturday.  Funds raised will help his family pay for ongoing medical expenses and rehabilitation.  Dinner will be served from 4-7 pm, kids activities will be available from 2-4 pm, a silent auction from 2 - 6:30 pm, a live auction beginning at 6:30 pm, plus there will also be a DJ, bucket raffles, tip boards & a 50/50. Prizes include a 50" Hitachi Plasma TV, a Playstation 3, an Apple ITouch and a Spring Break Trip to Orlando FL plus $500 cash.
