The Perfect Wedding opens tonight at the Barn II Dinner Theatre.  This sure fire hit takes place hours before a wedding. The bridegroom awakens after the bachelor party to a mysterious girl in his bed and his fiance at the door.  On Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, doors open at 6 pm, buffet is at 6:30 pm, and the show is at 8 pm. On Sundays, doors & the buffet open at noon, and the show is at 1:30 pm. The horror classic Frankenstein continues tonight and will be performed Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 pm in Pritchard Theatre at Eureka College. Admission is $7 for adults and $3 for students. Call 467-6363 to order tickets or more information.

Friday kicks off the Peoria Junior League's annual Julep's Closet sale featuring twice the price night at the Riverplex from 5 - 8 pm.  The sale continues Saturday from 9 am - 5 pm:  noon - 2 pm is half price and 2:30 pm - 5 pm a "fit as much as you can" in a $3 or $10 bag.  Admission is $1 for both days. 

The Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival begins this Friday at 7 pm at the Apollo Theatre.  Patagonia presents the Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival on Tour hosted by the Heart of Illinois Sierra Club. Along with environmental films, this event will feature Heritage Farmer's Market in Pekin.  The festival will continue Saturday with films beginning at 7 pm.

Also on Friday, Peoria Players Theatre proudly welcomes the return of a Peoria audience favorite, Forever Plaid. The critically acclaimed show is an affectionate revue of the close-harmony "guy groups" (e.g. The Four Aces, The Four Freshmen) that reached the height of their popularity during the 1950s.  Performances run November 7-9 and 12-16 with all shows beginning at 7:30 pm except the Sunday matinees, which being at 2:30 pm. The Peoria Rivermen take on the Grand Rapids Griffins Saturday beginning at 7 pm at the Peoria Civic Center Carver Arena. Post-game concert "Rock What You've Got" Tour includes Superchick, Stellar Kart and Article One. On Saturday, the Peoria Park District will host the Great Highschool Whodunit at  6 pm.  Help crack the great mystery of Mrs. Dudley's stolen diamond ring along with the FBI and other crafty guests.  The performance begins at 6 pm at the Lakeview Museum Auditorium. Tthe Rock Laser Show begins on Saturday at the Lakeview Museum Planetarium.  The afternoon show on Saturday and Sunday features Laser Beatles at 3 pm and Laser Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon at 4 pm.  The evening shows on Saturdays only feature Laser Zepplin at 7:30 pm, Laser Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon at 8:30 pm, and Laser Floyd: The Wall at 9:30 pm.  Admission is $5 for afternoon shows and $8 for evening shows with a half price discount for all Lakeview members.  For more information, call 686-7000 or click HERE.
