The Oresteia, adapted by Bradley students, continues tonight through Saturday at 8 pm each night at the Hartmann Center for the Performing Arts.  Justice, sexual politics, violence, and the indomitable strength of the human spirit to rise above terror resonate throughout Aeschylus' masterpiece, the first dramatic exclamation for justice and human rights. The American Dream continues tonight through Saturday at 7:30 pm and Sunday at 2:30 pm at the ICC Performing Arts Center. Meet one of America's most dysfunctional families - horrific, hysterical, and not to be missed. Directed by Doug Day, tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students & senior citizens and are available by calling the Performing Arts Center Box Office at 694-5136.

Also continuing tonight through Saturday is Doubt at the Corn Stock Lab Theatre. In this brilliant and powerful winner of the 2005 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award, Sister Aloysius, a Bronx school principal, takes matters into her own hands when she suspects the young Father Flynn of improper relations with a male student. Tonight the Bradley Jazz Combo will perform at the Dingeldine Music Center from 7:30 - 9 pm. Admission is $5 for the general public and free for students. Then on Sunday, the Bradley Community Chorus & Symphony will also perform at the Dingeldine Music Center from 7:30 - 9 pm. Admission for this event is $5 for the general public and free for students. The Central Illinois Youth Symphony Wine Tasting takes place tonight at the Waterhouse. The event is a wine tasting and silent auction to benefit the Central Illinois Youth Symphony and will feature twenty wines for tasting and purchase this evening. The Goodwill Veterans Recognition Dinner and Awards Ceremony will be held tonight beginning at 5:30 pm at the Peoria Civic Center Ballroom. Tom Brokaw will be keynote speaker. He will join Goodwill to thank veterans from throughout central Illinois and to honor the memory of central Illinois veterans. A special dedication in honor of General Wayne A. The 33rd Annual Community Thanksgiving Luncheon sponsored by the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce will be held in the Civic Center Ballroom on Friday from 11:45 am - 1:30 pm. The keynote speaker at the luncheon will be Ms. Joanne Glasser, President, Bradley University. Tickets are $40 each for Chamber members, $50 for non-members, and tables of 9 are available for at $360 for Chamber members and $450 for non-members. Hip Pocket (R&B, blues) performs at the Contemporary Art Center 's Live at the Five Spot Friday night from 5:30 - 7:30 pm . Tickets are $7 for members and $10 for non-members. Forest Park Nature Center hosts the Nature Art Show & Sale beginning this Saturday. This art show features a diversity of mediums and unique pieces all created by talented local artists.  Hours are Monday - Saturday 9 am - 5 pm, and Sunday from 1 - 5 pm. Admission is free.

The Old Time Folk and Country Jam takes place Sunday at Forest Park Nature Center from 3:30 - 5 pm. Meet other musicians and learn some new songs. The Rock Laser Show continues this weekend at the Lakeview Museum Planetarium. The afternoon show on Saturday and Sunday features Laser Beatles at 3 pm and Laser Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon at 4 pm. The evening shows on Saturday features Laser Zepplin at 7:30 pm, Laser Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon at 8:30pm, and Laser Floyd: The Wall at 9:30. Peoria's oldest running race, the Turkey Trot, takes place Sunday at Detweiller Park. The race features a 4-mile run. The top two finishers in each division receive a trophy and a turkey, compliments of Kroger. All entrants receive a Turkey Trot t-shirt.
