Race for the Cure packet and t-shirt pick up is today until 7 pm at Northwoods Mall's lower-level center court. Today is also the last day to register for the race which you can do at the same location. |
| The Southside Business Association of Pekin presents Derby Days at the Southside Business Park located on Koch Street. There will be a carnival, a battle of the bands, a bean bag tournament and carnival food. Event times are Thursday and Friday from 5-10 pm, Saturday & Sunday from 11 am - 10 pm. continues tonight at the East Peoria Riverfront behind the Wal-Mart SuperCenter and runs through Sunday. Carnival hours are 5 pm - 10 pm Thursday and Friday, 1 pm - 10 pm Saturday, and 1 pm - 5 pm Sunday. Ride tickets are $1.25 each with family packs available at 20 tickets for $20. Peoria Players Theatre presents Man of LaMancha, inspired by Miguel de Cervantes's seventeenth century masterpiece Don Quixote, continues this weekend. It tells the story of the "mad" knight, Don Quixote, as a play within a play, performed by Cervantes and his fellow prisoners as he awaits a hearing with the Spanish Inquisition. Performances continue tonight through Sunday and begin at 7:30 pm, except on Sunday, which is at 2:30 pm.
