Peoria Players presents Annie Get Your Gun opening tomorrow night.  Revived on Broadway in 1999, Annie Get Your Gun is the story of Annie Oakley who gets her big break into show business with her rifle markmanship. Performances begin at 7:30 pm except for the Sunday matinees, which begin at 2:30 pm. Preston Jackson & Friends (jazz, R&B) will perform at the Contemporary Art Center 's Live at the Five Spot Friday night from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. Tickets are $7 for members and $10 for non-members. On Saturday, they'll host the Peoria Prairie Tellers Storytelling Guilds "Tales from the Trail" from 7 - 9 pm. The Peoria Prairie Tellers presents Jack Engelsen "Buffalo Man," Tales from the Trail stories from the Wild, Wild West. The 46th Annual Mid-West Truck Show will be held in the Civic Center Exhibit Hall Friday and Saturday. Times are noon - 8 pm on Friday and 9 am - 4 pm on Saturday. Tickets are $5 at the door.

Monster Jam 2009 will be held in the Civic Center Arena on Friday and Saturday: show times are 7:30 pm on Friday and 2 pm and 7:30 pm on Saturday. The Met Opera in HD live at Willow Knolls 14 continues this Saturday with a live transmission of Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor, which will begin at Noon. Anna Netrebko stars in the title role of Donizetti's fragile heroine. Tenor Rolando Villazón stars as Lucia's lover, Edgardo. Baritone Mariusz Kwiecien is her tyrannical brother. Mary Zimmerman's hit production is staged as a Victorian ghost story. Join Luthy Botanical Garden Saturday for an evening of Wine and Roses, hot jazz and sweet desserts in the sultry setting of thier tropical Conservatory. Tilley's on Water Street hosts the Neighborhood House Fundraising Event Saturday from 3- 6 pm. The event will feature award-winning Cabernet Sauvignons. Admission is $10.

The Ryan Bates Game Day Tournament will be held Saturday at the Crossroads U.M.Church in Washington. Games include Wii double tennis, Wii pentathlon (cow racing, bowling, Wii play shooting game, Home Run derby, and a surprise 5th game), bean bag tournament and bingo. All ages are welcome. The tournament will also feature a bake sale, silent auction, and lots of food.  All money raised will go to build a handicapped accessible all inclusive playground at rossroads UMC.
