Tonight, Willow Knolls 14 will present a 20th Anniversary Special of history's most successful off-Broadway musical's big screen debut, Forever Plaid, beginning at 7 pm. This is an exclusive one-night event featuring members of the original cast live from the red carpet with a live sing-along following the show. The entire event will be broadcast Live from Los Angeles and will be introduced by the original cast followed by a pre-taped performance of the show. The event will conclude with a Live "bouncing ball" sing-a-long with cast and theatre audiences. Tickets now on sale at the theater and range from $12.50 - $15. |

The Illinois Shakespeare Festival continues this weekend with a presentation of A Midsummers Night's Dream tonight at Ewing Manor in Bloomington beginning at 7:30 pm. Scapin will be performed Friday evening at 8 pm. There is also a free family-friendly version of Shakespeare's The Tempest on Saturday beginning at 10 am in the festival courtyard (bring lawn chairs for seating). On Friday, the Peoria Municipal Band Mini Band will perform beginning at 7:30 pm at Springdale Cemetery. The Peoria Municipal Band will perform Sunday at 7:30 pm at the Glen Oak Amphitheater. There are park benches or you can bring your own lawn chairs and blankets. The concert is free and open to people of all ages and is a terrific family event. The band is conducted by David Vroman. |

Highway J will kick off the evening playing your favorites and some of their own originals this Friday on the Peoria RiverFront. Then the Prairie Air Show Preview Event will blow you away with their high-hooping loops and fancy flying. A hometown favorite, Water Street, will take the stage after the preview event.
