The Peoria Chiefs take on the Clinton LumberKings tonight beginning at 7 pm at O'Brien Field.  They have rematches on Friday a 7 pm, Saturday at 6:30 pm and Sunday at 2 pm also. Tickets are $10 for Club Box, $9 for Box or $6 for Lawn and are available at the O'Brien Field box office, by phone at 866-698-4253 or online HERE.

Dames at Sea opens tomorrow at Corn Stock Theatre and runs through August 29.  All performances begin at 7:30 pm.  Tickets are $17 for adults and $12 for students 18 & under and are available at the Corn Stock Box Office or by calling 676-2196.

Wildlife Prairie State Park continues its Movie Under the Stars with The Wild on Friday evening. Movies are shown under the park's famous tepee shelter. Admission is $12 per carload. Gates open at 7:15 pm and show time is at 8 pm. Ice cream, popcorn, smores & drinks will be available for purchase.

The Contemporary Arts Center presents Live at the Five Spot on Friday beginning at 5:30 pm featuring Bogside Zukes (Irish Pub).  Admission is $7 for members $10 for non-members, $6 for student & senior members, $9 for student & senior non-members, 16 & younger is $3. At 8:30 pm, they'll have a Salsa Dance Lesson that runs until 9:30 pm and open dancing to DJ Ed Caballero from 9:30 pm - Midnight. The Boat Drunks will perform on the CEFCU Center Stage at The Landing on Friday night:  gates open at 7:30 pm and show starts at 8 pm. Admission is  $7.  The Landing bar will also be open.

A Hummingbird Festival will be held at Forest Park Nature Center from 9 am - Noon on Saturday.  Vernon Kleen, one of the few licensed hummingbird banders in the United States, will be on hand to demonstrate hummingbird banding and discuss the world of hummingbirds.  The event is free; however, donations are greatly appreciated. There will be a Barbershoppers Concert from 7:30 - 9:30 pm at the Glen Oak Amphitheatre this Saturday evening.  There is no charge for the concert.

The Peoria Art Guild will hold their Beer and Brats 2009 on Saturday from 3 - 6 pm at the Guild in downtown Peoria.  Mindy Brown and Friends are musical guests. Bark For Life, a canine event to fight cancer will be held this Saturday at the East Peoria Riverfront Park with registration opening at 9 am and the walk beginning at 10 am. Participants will take the first lap together with their canines and are thereafter free to walk as much as they want until noon. Illinois' largest motorcycle festival, the Grand National TT Motorcycle Races, happens on the Peoria Riverfront this Saturday & Sunday.  It all begins with a motorcycle parade starting at PMC Race Park parading to Peoria's Riverfront Park. There will be vendors at the swap meet, an antique & custom bike show, Easy Rider Teresi Dyno Drags, a food court featuring butterfly pork chops, the "Central Illinois Extreme" motorcycle stunt show, plus two stages of entertainment including a performance by  Little River Band and more.  Admission is $10 with a ride in the parade and/or enter the gate before 6 pm or $15 after 6 pm at the gate.  For more information, click HERE.
