The Peoria Chiefs vs. Cedar Rapids begins at 6:30 pm tonight (Thursday) at O'Brien Field. The Chiefs will also take on Beloit at home Friday and Saturday at 6:30 pm, as well as Sunday at 1pm and Monday (Memorial Day) at noon. Individual tickets are $10 for all seats and $7 for lawn seating. Season tickets and group discounted tickets are also available. The Morton Civic Chorus presents "Encore 2010", its annual fundraising concert for the Central Illinois Memorial Kidney Fund at the Hartmann Center Theatre at Bradley University tonight (Thursday), Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm with a Sunday matinee at 2 pm. Sean Morey will perform this weekend at Jukebox Comedy Club this weekend with shows tonight (Thursday) at 8 pm during the Pro-Am Showcase and Friday and Saturday at 8 and 10:30 pm. The ever-popular Louie Louie Festival runs Friday from 3 - 11 pm on the Peoria Riverfront. Bring your kazoo and your most creative outfit down to the CEFCU Center Stage at the Landing. Pack up the family and head to Wildlife Prairie State Park on Friday night for their Movies Under the Stars series with "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs". The 2nd annual Motorcycle Ride One Wild Ride will be held at Wildlife Prairie Park on Saturday beginning with a 10 am - 12 noon check-in and an after party at Wildlife Prairie State Park beginning at 5 pm. The ride begins at Walters Brothers Harley Davidson and ends at Wildlife Prairie Park. Ride day registration is $25 for Individuals and $40 for couples. General admission rates apply for those that wish to only attend the after party at the Park. Food and beverages will be available for an additional charge. The Mackinaw Music and International Wine & Beer Festival will be held Saturday from 11 am - 11 pm and Sunday from Noon - 6 pm. There will be wine and beer tasting all day featuring wines and beers from at least 15 countries, lots of good food and great entertainment. The 2010 Illinois River Wine, Art, Balloon & Jazz Festival will take place at Memorial Park located at 400 E Southmoor in Manito on Saturday from 11 am - 8 pm. Featuring several local wineries, artisans & jazz musicians, the festival is free to the public.

 

The Elite Combat Championship includes 15 mixed martial arts cage fights and will take place at the Grand Hotel in Peoria. Tickets available now only $15 in advance at coop records and the Brass Rail.

 

Come experience firsthand the daily life of rural Peorians in the mid 19th century at Sommer Park as they host Pioneer Days from 1 - 4 pm on Sunday. Admission is $2 per person. Activities include hand dipping candles, blacksmithing, school lessons, woodworking, heirloom vegetable gardening, hands-on children's activities, pioneer cemetery tours, hayrides and wool spinning.

 

The Peoria Municipal Band will perform in concert on the Peoria Riverfront beginning at 10 am on Monday morning. Admission is free.

 

A Memorial Day Remembrance Service will be held at the Peoria RiverFront to honor local veterans beginning at 10:45 am Monday under the Gateway Building on the Peoria riverfront.  Pay tribute to all of the men and women who have fought for America's freedom. Admission is free.
