The Erotic Hypnotic performs at the Jukebox Comedy Club this weekend with shows tonight (Thursday) at 8 pm and Friday and Saturday at 8 and 10:30 pm. Tickets for are $13 except for the Thursday show which is $10. This show is rated R.

The 2010 Marigold Festival kicks off on Friday with Friday Night Family Fest in downtown Pekin then continues on Saturday with the Marigold 5k Run & Walk at Coal Miner's Park. Entertainment, a carnival and lots of other activities will also be on hand through Sunday with most events happening in Mineral Springs Park. The Down the River Festival honoring the life and music of Bluegrass singer/songwriter John Hartford will take place on Saturday at the Murray Center Outdoor Building located across Water Street from Hooter's in downtown Peoria. Performers include Creek Road Ramblers, Chicago Farmer, Peter Adrial, Insignificant String Band, Jaik Willis, Eric Nassau, Easyriders, Brainchild, Ahmadahere & more. A Tree Identification Walk will take place at Forest Park Nature Center on Sunday from 1:30 - 2:30 pm for ages 10 & up. No registration is necessary and the walk is free, however, donations are appreciated. Emphasis will be on the process of identifying trees by their leaves using a simple key. Although leaf collecting cannot be done on this walk, good collecting sites in the Peoria area will be suggested. Don't let the trees "leaf" you "stumped" this fall!
