Santa Claus arrives at Northwoods Mall on Friday from 5 - 8 pm. During the holiday season, shoppers are welcome to meet Santa at JC Penney Court and have a professional photo taken for purchase. Children may also enjoy rides on the Kiddie Train. Regular hours are Monday - Saturday, 11am - 8 pm and Sunday from 12 noon - 5 pm through December 24th.
Contemporary Art Center will host Live at the Five Spot on Friday from 5:30 - 7:30 pm at their Downtown Peoria facility. This week will feature the Roundstone Buskers. Admission is $7 for members, $10 for non-members, $6 for student & senior members, student & senior non-members are $3 ages 16 & younger.

Junction City will host their Holiday Walk on Friday from 5 - 9 pm featuring an evening of holiday festivities, live music provided by Peoria Players Theatre, carriage rides from 6 - 8 pm and hors d'oeuvres, cocktails and assorted goodies in each of the Junction City shops. Santa will be on hand from 5 - 8 pm for pictures. Make sure you bring your letters to Santa and so he can reply. Pictures are $5 per child or $8 per group (4x6 photo and response letter included).
The Third Annual Drunken Zombie Film Festival will be held at the Peoria Theater on Friday and Saturday. Spend the night at the Zoo for the Family Zoo Snooze on Friday from 7 pm through 9 am Saturday. Your family will get a chance to sleep in Africa, enjoy nocturnal tours, a chance to meet animals and find out what the Zoo is like at night. Heart of Illinois Group, Sierra Club presents an Environmental Film Festival at the Apollo Theatre in Downtown Peoria on Friday and Saturday beginning at 7 pm. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for kids 11 & under. Along with the environmental films, this event will feature locally grown popcorn from Blunier Farms in Speer, Illinois and door prizes donated by local merchants.
Germantown Hills Middle School's PTO will host its Annual Craft & Vendor Show with Bake Sale on Saturday from 9 am - 2 pm at Germantown Hills Middle School. The event will feature over 25 Home Party Consultants and over 75 Crafters.
The Joslin Diabetes Center, Affiliate at OSF HealthCare is sponsoring a Diabetes Expo on Saturday from 10 am - 1 pm at the OSF Center for Health at Glen Park location at 5114 N Glen Park Place in Peoria. The John C. Flanagan House will host November Children's Story Time on Saturday at 1:15 pm. Patti Erwin of Morton will be guest reader of "The Quilt Story" by Tony Johnson; an ABA Pick of the List Book. "Uplifted", The 2nd Annual St. Jude Benefit Concert will be held at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington on Saturday with doors opening at 6:30 pm. This event is a night of inspirational music, video, and stories shared by St. Jude families. This is a free concert event for the entire family. A love offering will be taken during the event. 100% of the donations will directly benefit the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN and the St. Jude Midwest Affiliate in Peoria, IL.
CASAblanca: An Evening of Dancing with the Stars is a fun-packed evening features local celebrities dancing with dance specialists held this Saturday night at the Par-A-Dice Hotel/Casino. Local celebrity judges will rate the dancers and include audience vote participation. The event offers a dance competition, a silent auction, hors d'oueuvres and music. Proceeds support the specially trained CASA volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children in Peoria County. Tickets are $150 per person, Black Tie Optional. The Itoo Society is hosting its 83rd Annual Itoo Supper this Sunday at the Itoo Hall on Farmington Road in Peoria beginning at 10:30 am there will be a brief public ceremony paying tribute to members who answered the nation's call to military service during the Korean War. Following the ceremony, the popular family-style traditional Lebanese/American all-you-can-eat dinner begins serving at 11:30 AM. Cost for adults is $13.50, Children (under 12) are $7.
