Peoria Area Community Events (PACE) will host the 123rd Annual Santa Claus Parade, the longest running holiday parade in the country, beginning at 10:15 am Friday in downtown Peoria. The parade will be telecast live on WMBD-TV and has been sponsored by South Side Bank for the past 52 years.
The Fourth Annual "Trot for Tots" run will also be held in conjunction with the Santa Parade. It's a two-mile fun run will follow the parade route through downtown Peoria and will take place just prior to the parade at 10 am. Also, a food and coat drive will take place in conjunction with the Santa Parade. Come to the parade and bring canned goods and gently used coats for The Salvation Army and the Midwest Food Bank. If you are unable to make it to the parade, canned goods and coats can be taken to HyVee in Sheridan Village on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. |

Yule Like Peoria begins with the lighting of the courthouse trees to celebrate the holiday season at 6 pm on Friday. The Luthy Botanical Garden's Annual Poinsettia Show runs through Friday, December 31st during regular Conservatory hours which are Tuesday-Saturday from 10 am - 7 pm and Sundays from 12 - 5 pm.
