The Protecting our Animals Workshop, presented by Peoria County Animal Protection Director Lauren Malmberg, will be held tonight (Thursday) at 6 pm at the ICC North campus located on North University in Peoria.  It's a free workshop to help people know how they can aid abandoned and abused animals in our community.  Admission is free.
The Flu & You presentation begins at 6 pm tonight (Thursday) at OSF Center for Health-Glen Park located at 5114 N Glen in Peoria.  Meet OSF Medical Group doctors during an informational session as they talk about ways you can fight the flu.  The doctors will be available after the presentation to answer questions and discuss other health issues. Spider Hill at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe returns this year with The Haunted Express, Massacre Mansion and Trail of Terror plus the Boo Barn for kids (not so scary) main attractions every weekend in October. The 43rd Annual Spoon River Drive is this Saturday & Sunday in Fulton County. Enjoy the natural wonders of the Spoon River Valley as it flows from London Mills to the south and east where it joins the Illinois River near the southeastern corner of the County. The 30th Annual Metamora Parade & Field Invitational will feature more than 30 high school bands at Metamora High School beginning at 11 am on Saturday with a parade passing through the square.
