The Peoria Rivermen will take on the Okahoma City Barons at the Peoria Civic Center (Carver) Arena beginning at 7:05 pm tonight (Thursday) as well on Friday night at 7:05 pm.
On Saturday, the Rivermen will take on the Texas Stars at 7:05 pm. Tickets range from $10 to $25 and are available at the Civic Center Box Office, by calling 676-1040, at any Ticketmaster outlet or online at Ticketmaster.com
The Amazing Kreskin will perform at the Jukebox Comedy Club at 8 pm tonight (Thursday), and at 7 pm & 9:30 pm on Friday & Saturday. Eureka College kicks off its year-long Reagan Centennial Celebration with the "Reagan and the Midwest" Conference beginning on Friday at 8 am and the fourth annual Ronald Reagan Day Dinner at 5:30 pm. Contemporary Arts Center's Live at the Five Spot will host Cousin Eddie this Friday from 5:30 - 7:30 pm in the Preston Jackson Gallery. Admission for members is $7, non-members are $10.

The Waterhouse presents Howlin' on Water Dueling Pianos beginning with dinner at 6:30 pm and the show at 8 pm. The Neil Simon classic Barefoot in the Park will be performed at the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield opening tonight (Thursday) through March 6th. On Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, doors open at 6 pm, buffet is at 6:30 pm, and the show is at 8 pm. On Sundays, doors & the buffet open at noon, and the show is at 1:30 pm. Double headliners Disturbed and KoRn will be making their first stop on the 2011 Monster Energy Music as a Weapon 5 Tour at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum on Friday beginning at 7 pm. Opening for Disturbed and KoRn will be American heavy metal band Sevendust. Marc Rizzo will perform Friday at the Brass Rail in Peoria. Best known as a member of Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy, and Ill-Nino, Marc Rizzo's solo work is a mix of styles including hard rock, metal, jazz, classical and flamenco guitar. Doors open at 7 pm, Show  begins at 8 pm. Ages:18 & up. Admission is $12 at the door.
The Penguin Project will present High School Musical 2 Junior at Eastlight Theatre located in the East Peoria High School Auditorium at 7:30 pm on Friday & Saturday and at 2 pm on Sunday. Tickets are $10 each and are available by calling 699-7469 or online at www.eastlighttheatre.com
The 20th Annual St. Jude Benefit Gymnastics, Tumbling & Trampoline Meet will be held in the Peoria Civic Center Exhibit Hall Saturday & Sunday from 8 am - 10 pm each day. Tickets are available at the door and are $8 for adults ages 11 and over and $4 for kids ages 10 and under and seniors ages 65 and over.
A celebration of the birth of the poet Robert Burns with a Traditional Scottish Dinner will be held at Itoo Hall (located at 4909 Farmington Road in Peoria) on Saturday beginning at 5 pm. The dinner will feature poetry, songs, pipe band music along with the traditional Scottish dinner. Admission, which includes dinner, is $20 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12. The Peoria Symphony Orchestra presents its Subscription IV Concert featuring music director George Stelluto at the Peoria Civic Center Theater beginning at 8 pm. Peoria Players Theatre will host a Wizard of Oz Tea Party beginning at 2 pm on Sunday at First Christian Church located at 6400 N. University. 800 Pounds of Harmony, featuring members of the Peoria-based Heart of Illinois Chorus, will recreate the sound of this "really big" vocal quartet and share some of their history and their humor beginning at 2:30 pm Sunday at the First United Methodist Church, 1023 N Sixth Street, Chillicothe. Kid's Art Camp will be held at the Peoria Art Guild on Monday from 8:30 - 11:30 am for grades 1 - 6. Students are divided into two groups (grades 1-3 and 4-6) to experience a day of art-related projects including Abstract Collage,Art and Culture, Music, Color and Art, and Expressive Drawing.  All are make-and-take projects. Students are supervised by staff and volunteers. Cost is $30 per student. Parents are requested to provide a drink, lunch, and a snack for break time.
