Encores is a magical musical tour of the history of the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield. The show runs through July 24: on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, doors open at 6 pm, buffet is at 6:30 pm, and the show is at 8 pm. On Sundays, doors & the buffet open at noon, and the show is at 1:30 pm. Prices are $30 for Thursdays, $32 for Fridays and Sunday brunch and $34 for Saturdays. The Annual CEFCU Jazz Series will take place tonight (Thursday) on the Peoria RiverFront on the CEFCU Center Stage at the Landing beginning at 7 pm. Admission is free. The Thursday night series features local jazz artists and is supported by CEFCU and the Illinois Jazz Society.
The Cornerstone Music Festival will be held at 23325 N Cornerstone Rd in Bushnell IL today (Thursday) through Sunday. Christians of all ethnicities and backgrounds who get together for four days of fellowship, entertainment, education and music. The Illinois Shakespeare Festival at Ewing Manor (located at at 48 Sunset Rd. in Bloomington) will present Romeo & Juliet tonight (Thursday) at 7:30 pm and Saturday at 8 pm.  The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged) will be presented on Friday at 8 pm and Sunday at 7:30 pm. Take the Old Peoria and the Judge Trolley Tour beginning at 10:30 am on Friday.  The tour leaves from Kelleher's Irish Pub (located at 619 SW Water Street near State St. in downtown Peoria).   On Saturday take a Springdale Cemetery/Grandview Drive Trolley Tour and visit Peoria's premier scenic drive that winds its way above the beautiful Illinois River valley beginning at 10:30 am. Every First Friday of the month from 5 - 9 pm at the CIAO First Friday Studio Tour, you'll get a chance to speak with local artists, get a sneak peak behind-the-scenes at their studios and galleries. World Class Noise will perform Friday on the CEFCU Stage at The Landing on the Peoria Riverfront beginning at 7:30 pm. The Friday Night Water Street Fiesta takes place every Friday night between 5 - 10 pm on the 300 block of Water Street. Enjoy Peoria's riverfront with good food and variety street entertainment while you shop. The street is closed off to accommodate the festival and admission is free.

The Charlie Daniels Band will perform at Festival Park on the Peoria RiverFront with opening acts Midnight Flyer and the Robin Crowe Band on Saturday night. JammSammichwill perform Sunday on the CEFCU Stage at the Landing on the Peoria riverfront with gates opening at 7:30 pm. They'll play tunes from four decades including Motown, disco, funk, hip-hop, retro 80's and rock. Admission is $7. Food will be available and The Landing Bar will be open.
Celebrate Independence Day with Fireworks at Glen Oak Amphitheatre from 4 - 10:30 pm. Admission is free: bring a picnic dinner or food will be available from vendors. Bring blankets and lawn chairs. Performances include PPD Explosion Cheer Team, Community Children's Theatre, the Peoria Ballet and a Municipal Band Patriotic Concert beginning at 8 pm. Fireworks begin at dusk.
The Community of West Peoria, Scouts' Troop & Pack 11, and the West Peoria Lions Club will host the 42nd Annual 4th of July Parade beginning at 10 am on Monday. Participants include marching bands, classic cars, walking groups, dance troupes, groups on bicycles, and floats. The parade will go on rain or shine, so be prepared for the weather. The Peoria Park District's Elite Youth Program 4th of July Fundraiser will be held at the Riverplex located in downtown Peoria. It's a family-friendly event featuring a "Julie K" children's concert plus swimming and reserved parking on the Peoria riverfront perfect for viewing the City of Peoria fireworks displays. Reserved parking begins at 5 pm and closes at 8:30 pm or when the lot is full. Bring lawn chairs, beach blankets, coolers, portable grills & picnic baskets. No fireworks, sparklers or pets are allowed.  Admission is $30 and includes reserved parking with up to 4 people inside, exclusive use of the RiverPlex facility and exclusive access to the riverfront lawn for the fireworks show. Additional passengers are $10 each. A reserved picnic table is $5. Pre-registration is available by calling 309-589-5923, fax, mail, in person at the RiverPlex or online at www.eliteyp.org
Red, White & Boom will take place Monday from 5 - 10 pm at the RiverFront Park in downtown Peoria. Fireworks display will begin at approximately 9:30 pm and are synchronized to a special soundtrack broadcast on JMP Media Group stations. Admission is free. Food & drinks will be available from local vendors.
