2nd Annual PenguinJamm will take place this Saturday at Wildlife Prairie State Park

The
Peoria German-American Society will host
a Motorcycle Run and Corn Boil at
Hickory Grove Park (located at 12503
Hickory Grove Rd. in Dunlap) on
Saturday. The Motorcycle Run
registration will be held at the Last
Chance Bar and Grill in Alta, Illinois
from 9 - 11 am. Breakfast will be
available during registration. Stops
include Burnzees in Brimfield,
Crossroads in Farmington, Go-T-s in
Peoria and ends at Hickory Grove Park.

The fee to participate is $15 per person
and includes dinner at Hickory Grove
Park. A portion of the proceeds will go
to the Children's Hospital of Illinois.
Admission and parking for the Corn Boil,
which runs from from 2 - 8 pm, are both
free. The rain date for this event is
Sunday, July 24th at the same times. The
Corn Boil cost is a $7 per person
donation which includes a pork chop
sandwich, sweet corn, baked beans and
cole slaw. A DJ will be providing
entertainment. German and domestic
beers, soft drinks and a cash bar will
also be available. Other activities
include a bags tournament, bocci ball,
archery and horseshoes. A newly
refurbished playground will be available
