TheICC Cougar Plex Grand Opening will take place today (Thursday) from 3- 7 pm at the East Peoria campus. TheBradley Braves Soccer team will take on Memphis at 7pm on Friday at Shea Stadium. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for youth (K-12). Free thundersticks will be given to the first 500 fans.

TheFriday Night Water Street Fiesta takes place every Friday night between 5 - 10 pm on the 300 block of Water Street. Enjoy Peoria's riverfront with good food and variety street entertainment while you shop. The street is closed off to accommodate the festival and admission is free.
A Wildlife Prairie State Park Party on the Prairie featuring the band Coco Loco will take place on Friday from 7 - 10 pm outside on the main bricks. Gates open at 6 pm with food and full bar available. There is a $7cover charge per person. In the event of inclement weather, the band will be moved indoors. Wildlife Prairie State Park will host a Multi Sport Extravaganza Friday - Sunday featuring paddling, road cycling, trail running, mountain biking, frisbee golf, orienteering, hiking, volleyball, swimming and yoga. Toy Story 3 will be the feature presentation at Movies Under the Stars at Metro Centre on Friday with the pre-show at 6:15 pm and the movie beginning at 7:30 pm. The Hult Center for Health Education's 14th Annual Fundraiser, the Lobster Boil Fiesta, will be held on Saturday beginning at 6 pm at the Hult Center for Health Education (located on Knoxville Avenue just north of Glen Ave. in Peoria) and will include a silent auction, live auction, and a full lobster dinner. ThePeoria Symphony Orchestra season opener will take place in the Peoria Civic Center Theatre on Saturday beginning at 8 pm. Tickets are $32 - $70 are available by calling 309-671-1096.  Maestro Stelluto opens the concert with an inspiring new work by Composer-in-Residence John Orfe. Internationally acclaimed pianist Jorge Federico Osorio becomes the medium for Beethoven's genius. After intermission, legendary conductor James DePreist, winner of the National Medal of the Arts, brings a poet's heart and a philosopher's mind to the finale of Mahler's massive Symphony No. 3.
The Cental Illinois Youth Symphony (CIYS) will hold an Ice Cream Social Fundraiser on Sunday at Peoria Heights Tower Park from 1 - 3 pm. There will be performances by the CIYS Small Ensembles as well as a Special Guest performance by members of the Peoria Area Civic Chorale Youth Chorus. Uncle Bob's Homemade Ice Cream will be on site selling ice cream to the public with a portion of profits going to support the CIYS. Admission is free.
The Illinois Central Jazz Train, directed by Larry Harms, will perform at Landmark Recreation Center (located at 3225 N Dries Ln. in Peoria) on Sunday beginning with the CIJS House band at 6 pm followed by the Jazz Train at 7:15 pm. Admission is $5 for members and $7 for non-members.  They will play a variety of music, with the extra kick that made Big Bands famous and features some of the finest young and seasoned jazz musicians in Central Illinois.
