Hummingbird Festival will take place on Saturday at Forest Park Nature Center
from 9 am - Noon. Featuring Springfield's Vernon Kleen, one of the few licensed
hummingbird banders in the US, who will demonstrate banding and discuss the
world of hummingbirds, you'll have a chance to feel the heartbeat of a
hummingbird and "adopt" one. The event is free,
