The"Dinosaurs, Solve the Mysteries" Planetarium Show at Lakeview Museum (located at 1125 W. Lake Ave. in Peoria) will be held on Saturdays at Noon & 1:30 pm, Sundays at 1:30 pm and 2:15 pm and Thursdays at 6 pm through May 31st. Visit dinosaur graveyards, study their bones and reconstruct how dinosaurs lived and died. Admission is $4 for adults, $3.50 for youth and seniors and free for members. Welcome Spring with an Old-Fashioned Barn Dance at the Shore Acres Club House (located at 100 Park Blvd. in Chillicothe) on Friday beginning at 7 pm. A Civil War Spring Drill will be held at Sommer Park on Saturday from 10 am - 5 pm. Experience the daily life of men and women and watch them in action. Civil War enthusiasts from the Midwest will bring to life the joys and sorrows of the time. Bring a camera and have your picture taken by the 1860s style cannon. Admission is $2 per person.
TheEarth Day Celebration at Forest Park Nature Center will take place on Saturday from 11:10 am - 4:10 pm where you'll be able to peruse numerous booths, locate local resources and learn what you can do to make a difference. Enjoy live music, great local food, educational materials, hands-on demos, kids crafts, face painting and much more. There will also be a raffle, door prizes and the annual Earth Day Sale. ICC will host its annual International Fair on Saturday from Noon - 3:30 pm in the ICC East Peoria Campus Cafeteria. The event will feature ICC international students and celebrate their cultures through music, entertainment, food and dancing. This event is open to the public with an admission donation of $2. The Bradley Women's Tennis Team will be taking on the Evansville Purple Aces at 1pm Saturday at the David Markin Tennis Courts (located at 1600 W. Bradley Avenue in Peoria by the Bradley campus). The team will be hosting its Kids Day event, so bring the entire family and support the Braves for their final weekend at home for the 2012 season. The Arthritis Walk Kick Off will take place Saturday at PetSmart (located at 208 River Road in East Peoria) from 1 - 3 pm. Participants are encouraged to bring their dogs as this year there will be a dog walk to the annual Arthritis Walk which will be Saturday, June 2 at Midstate College and the new section of Rock Island Trails.
