A
variety of free Financial Education Programs will take place at locations
all over central Illinois in conjunction with Money Smart Week, which runs
through Saturday. Visit 
The
27th Annual Arts in Education Spring Celebration is being held in the Peoria
County Courthouse Plaza from 11am - 1:30 pm every weekday through May 25th. More
than 12,000 students from over 110 schools in seven counties will perform,
exhibit and demonstrate their talents in the fine and applied arts. For a

Peoria
County will present a free public workshop entitled "
The
Illinois State Historical Society presents the 
The "Dinosaurs, Solve the Mysteries" Planetarium Show at Lakeview
Museum (located at 1125 W. Lake Ave. in Peoria) will be held on Saturdays at Noon
& 1:30 pm, Sundays at 1:30 pm and 2:15 pm and Thursdays at 6 pm through May 31st.
Visit dinosaur graveyards, study their bones and reconstruct how dinosaurs lived
and died. Admission is $4 for adults, $3.50 for youth and seniors and free for

from 7 - 9 pm. Guest musicians Judy Page and Preston Jackson will perform music

How They Run at the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield runs through May 20. On Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, doors open at 6 pm, buffet

12th Annual Hult Center for Health Education "Spirit of Living" Dinner will

K' will perform songs from her third children's album, "Family Love" at

Red
Green will be live at the Peoria Civic Center Theater on Friday at 7 pm. The
Red Green Show was a television comedy airing in Canada from 1991 until 2006. In
the show, Red Green is a self-proclaimed handyman who relies on duct tape as his
secret weapon. This tour is a follow-up to the popular
television series. Tickets are $47.50 and are available at the Peoria Civic Center

"Coffee
for a Cause" will be held at Thirty-Thirty Coffee Co. on Friday beginning at
7 pm. A benefit for Illinois Cancer Care Foundation, the event will have a

Peoria Area Civic Chorale Youth Chorus Spring Concert "Sing for Joy" will

Dance Company will present The Art of Dance at the ICC Performing Arts

River City Blues Society will host Johnny Rawls at Goodfellas (located at

Dirty Gentlemen will perform live at EP's Time Out (located at 1011 E
Washington in East Peoria) on Friday beginning at 9 pm. There is no cover

Peoria Public Library will host a Grand Opening of the Lakeview Branch with
a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday at 10 am. The event marks the final
building opening during the $28 million building program that passed by
referendum in 2007. There will be a variety of family-friendly activities

River Spirit Flute Circle will take place on Saturday from 1 - 2:30 pm at
Forest Park Nature Center. Listen to Native American flute music or try your
hand at playing the instrument yourself. All ability levels are welcome and the
circle is open to the public. No previous musical experience is necessary. Bring
your own flute if you have one. Admission is free, however donations are always
appreciated.
The
Children's Home Association of Illinois Spring Gala Event will take

Pioneer
Days will take place at Sommer Park on Sunday from 1 - 4 pm where you can
experience firsthand the daily life of rural Peorians in the mid 19th century.
Admission is $2 per person, age four and up. Activities take place at the
homestead, barn, blacksmith shop and schoolhouse. This is an opportunity for scout and youth groups to learn about history. There will be
presentations each month that highlight that month's theme. For more

Orpheus Club of Peoria Spring Concert will take place Sunday at the United
