The
27th Annual Arts in Education Spring Celebration is being held in the Peoria
County Courthouse Plaza from 11am - 1:30 pm every weekday through May 25th. More
than 12,000 students from over 110 schools in seven counties will perform,
exhibit and demonstrate their talents in the fine and applied arts. For a

The "Dinosaurs, Solve the Mysteries" Planetarium Show at Lakeview
Museum (located at 1125 W. Lake Ave. in Peoria) will be held on Saturdays at Noon
& 1:30 pm, Sundays at 1:30 pm and 2:15 pm and Thursdays at 6 pm through May 31st.
Visit dinosaur graveyards, study their bones and reconstruct how dinosaurs lived
and died. Admission is $4 for adults, $3.50 for youth and seniors and free for

How They Run at the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield runs through May 20. On Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, doors open at 6 pm, buffet
is at 6:30 pm, and the show is at 8 pm. On Sundays, doors & the buffet open at
noon, and the show is at 1:30 pm. Prices are $32 for Thursdays, $34 for Fridays

& Shout at the Contemporary Art Center will host an open mic for sharing and

East Peoria Chamber will host a Mayor's Prayer Breakfast with guest

IESA Scholastic Bowl State Tournament will be held Friday at the Peoria
Civic Center beginning at 1 pm. Admission is $5 for adults & high school ages
and $2 for senior citizens and ages K - 8th grades.
The
CIAO First Fridays Artists' Tour will take place Friday from 5 - 9 pm at 10
different locations in downtown Peoria including The Mill, Murray Center for the
Arts, the Contemporary Art Center, and the Peoria Art Guild where visitors can

Live at the Five Spotfeaturing Judy Page & Speak Easy begins at 5:30 pm

Bradley
Braves Baseball will take on Creighton at O'Brien Field on Friday beginning
at 6 pm and again on Saturday at 2 pm and Sunday at 1 pm. Tickets are $6 for
adults, $3 for youth (K-12), Bradley students and staff are free with valid ID.
Active military and immediate families are free and a family pass with 2 adults
and 4 children for $14. Single-game tickets are available beginning one hour

Forest
Park Nature Center (located at 5809 Forest Park Dr. in Peoria Heights) will host
a Migratory Bird Walk from 7:30 - 8:30 am where you can see spring
migrants and resident birds with a naturalist or a guide from Peoria Audubon.
Please bring your own binoculars. All levels of experience are welcome: geared
toward ages 10 & up. No registration required and admission is free, however

Take
part in a Civil War Spring Drill at Sommer Park (located at 6329 N.
Koerner Rd. in Edwards) from 10 am - 5 pm on Saturday & 10 am - 3 pm on Sunday.
Civil War enthusiasts from the Midwest will bring to life the joys and sorrows
of the time. Admission is $2 per person or a maximum of $10 per car. Bring a
camera and have your picture taken with the soldiers.
The
Peoria Park District's Annual Drama Festival will take place at Corn
Stock Theatre (located in upper Bradley Park in the tent) on Saturday from 10 am
- 4 pm. Admission is free. All plays that will be performed are award-winning
school plays performed by Peoria students. Bring your lunch. Snacks & drinks

CEFCU's
Sheridan Village branch (located at 900 W. Lake Ave. in Peoria) will host a
Youth Event on Saturday from 11 am - 1 pm featuring a Fun-on-the Run
bouncer, free refreshments provided by Hy-Vee, face painting provided by the Zoo
Lady, music by Tim Van Antwerp, the PPL Book Mobile, McGruff the Crime Stoppers
dog, the US Marine Corps heroes, the Peoria Police & Fire Departments, Familia
Dental plus a balloon artist from Unique Twist. The CEFCU Super Savers program

The
41st Annual Pekin Ambucs Charity Auction will take place beginning at 5 pm
Saturday at Pekin's Mineral Springs Park. New and used items, celebrity
items, gift certificates and even a few vehicles will be auctioned off. Auction

An
Evening of Music with the Philharmonic Chorale will be held Saturday
beginning at 7:30 pm at the Illinois Central College Performing Arts Center.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for senior citizens and students and are

the oldest choirs in our area, performing since 1925.
The
Peoria Area Civic Chorale will perform "Make a Joyful Noise - Celebrating
Our Faith and Freedom" at Grace Presbyterian Church (located on Route 91 in
Peoria) beginning at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $24 for adults and $12 for students.

legendary Bill Cosby will perform Saturday at the Peoria Civic Center

Peoria German-American Society's annual Maifest will be held at the
Lindenhof (located at 7601 N. Harker Drive in Peoria) on Sunday from Noon - 6
