The
Exhibition "K'NEX Building Thrill Rides" will take place
through September 1 at Lakeview Museum in Peoria. Use K'NEX rods and connectors
to build a thrill ride of your own, which will help you understand the different
properties of physics such as centrifugal force, kinetic energy, and motion.
Admission is $6 for adults, $4 for youth, $5 for senior citizens or free for

The
Peoria Historical Society hosts the Grandview Drive and Springdale Cemetery
Trolley Tour every Thursday from 10:30 - Noon through October
and every Saturday from from 1 - 2:30 pm through August. The Tour leaves from Harp & Thistle in Peoria Heights. Tickets are $11
(including a $1 tip for the driver) and may be purchased just prior to the tour.
Senior citizens aged 65 or older ride the trolley free with proof of age and a

The
City of Peoria will hold its annual program for National Flag Day at
Constitution Garden in Peoria today (Thursday) beginning at 5 pm. A "Pause for
the Pledge" will be held at 6 pm, followed by a flag folding and retirement
ceremony.
Family
Night at DragonLand Water Park in Pekin takes place every Tuesday &
Thursday nights from 7 - 8:30 pm through the summer. The park includes a zero

of Central Illinois will hold a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for its newest

41st Annual Steamboat Festival runs this weekend on the Peoria Riverfront
and combines a carnival, food fair, music, and entertainment in a
