The last Cornerstone Festival continues through Saturday in Bushnell IL with over 300 bands playing many styles of music, including rock, metal, punk, hardcore and pop music. In addition to the many musicians, Cornerstone Festival also presents guest speakers, and features independent/foreign film screenings, writers' seminars, and art workshops. Tickets range from $40 for a one-day ticket to $125 for the entire festival for adults. Group tickets are also available. The Exhibition "K'NEX Building Thrill Rides" will take place through Sept. 1 at Lakeview Museum (located at 1125 W. Lake Ave. in Peoria) from 10 am - 5 pm Monday -Saturday (until 8 pm on Thursdays) and from Noon - 5 pm on Sunday. Use K'NEX rods and connectors to build a thrill ride of your own, which will help you understand the different properties of physics such as centrifugal force, kinetic energy, and motion. Whisper & Shout will take place at the Contemporary Art Center tonight (Thursday) with an open mic for sharing and inspiring poetry. Doors open at 7:30 pm, show begins at 8 pm. Admission is $4 for members or $7 for non-members.
