The
last Cornerstone Festival continues through Saturday in Bushnell IL with
over 300 bands playing many styles of music, including rock, metal, punk,
hardcore and pop music. In addition to the many musicians, Cornerstone Festival
also presents guest speakers, and features independent/foreign film screenings,
writers' seminars, and art workshops. Tickets range from $40 for a one-day
ticket to $125 for the entire festival for adults. Group tickets are also

The
Exhibition
"K'NEX Building Thrill Rides" will take place through Sept. 1
at Lakeview Museum (located at 1125 W. Lake Ave. in Peoria) from 10 am - 5 pm
Monday -Saturday (until 8 pm on Thursdays) and from Noon - 5 pm on Sunday. Use K'NEX rods and connectors to build a thrill
ride of your own, which will help you understand the different properties of
physics such as centrifugal force, kinetic energy, and motion. Admission is $6
for adults, $4 for youth, $5 for senior citizens or free for members. For more

Whisper
& Shout will take place at the Contemporary Art Center tonight (Thursday)
with an open mic for sharing and inspiring poetry. Doors open at 7:30 pm, show
begins at 8 pm. Admission is $4 for members or $7 for non-members.

Friday, Live at the Five Spot at the Contemporary Art Center will feature
Rob Williams and the Soggy Bottom Blues Band beginning at 5:30 pm. Admission is
$7 for members, $10 for non-members, $6 for student & senior members and $9 for
student & senior non-members. 
Salsa
at the Contemporary Art Center will be held on Friday and will feature a dance
lesson from 8:30 - 9:30 pm and open dancing to DJ Matt Vasquez from 9:30 pm -

Family
Night at DragonLand Water Park (located at located at 193 Red Bud Drive in
Pekin) will take place tonight (Thursday) from 7 - 8:30 pm through the summer.
The park includes a zero depth, play/entry area, two water slides and "Dude" the
dragon slide with mushroom waterfall geyser. Admission is $8 per family of 4
plus $1 for each additional family member (families residing in the same
household).
Funny
Business presented by Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield opens this weekend. Tonight (Thursday), Friday & Saturday, doors open at 6 pm,

RiverFront Market takes place on the Peoria riverfront every Saturday

Peoria Historical Society will host the Grandview Drive and Springdale Cemetery
Trolley Tour on Saturday through October from 10:30 am - Noon
and the the River City Trolley Tour every Saturday from from 1 - 2:30 pm
through August. Both Tours leave from Harp & Thistle (located at 4605 N
Prospect Road in Peoria Heights. Tickets are $11 (including a $1 tip for the driver)

Join
cycling enthusiasts downtown Morton for the MCB Cycling Classic beginning
at 8 am on Main Street this Saturday and running throughout the day . At Noon,
the Celebrity Bike race begins and at 12:15 pm, all kids are invited to bring
their bike and a helmet to join in the Kids free race. There will also be a
pedal tractor obstacle course and lots of construction equipment to see up
