Arts in the Park will feature The King Family tonight (Thursday) beginning at 7 pm in Idlewood Park (located at 450 E. Idlewood in Morton). The King Family performs bluegrass, gospel and some original music. Admission is free. The Morton Tourism Association will be serving pulled pork sandwiches with chips, sweet snacks and beverages beginning at 6:30 pm in conjunction with the concert. The Exhibition "K'NEX Building Thrill Rides" will take place through Sept. 1 at Lakeview Museum (located at 1125 W. Lake Ave. in Peoria) from 10 am - 5 pm Monday -Saturday (until 8 pm on Thursdays) and from Noon - 5 pm on Sunday. Use K'NEX rods and connectors to build a thrill ride of your own, which will help you understand the different properties of physics such as centrifugal force, kinetic energy, and motion.
