The
Exhibition
"K'NEX Building Thrill Rides" will take place through Sept. 1
at Lakeview Museum (located at 1125 W. Lake Ave. in Peoria) from 10 am - 5 pm
Monday -Saturday (until 8 pm on Thursdays) and from Noon - 5 pm on Sunday. Use K'NEX rods and connectors to build a thrill
ride of your own, which will help you understand the different properties of
physics such as centrifugal force, kinetic energy, and motion. Admission is $6

Young Professionals Organization of Greater Peoria will host its 2nd annual "Pie
in the Sky" Pie Eating Contest tonight (Thursday) at Kelleher's Irish

Night at DragonLand Water Park (located at located at 193 Red Bud Drive in

The park includes a zero depth, play/entry area, two water slides and "Dude" the

Days will take place on Sunday at Sommer Park from 1 - 4 pm where you can

Peoria German American Society will host its annual Corn Boil at Hickory
Grove Park (located at 12403 N Hickory Grove Rd, in Dunlap) on Sunday from 2 - 8
pm. Admission and parking are free. Pork chop sandwiches, sweet corn, baked
beans and coleslaw meals will be available for a $7 donation plus there will be
a cash bar. Activities include soccer beginning at 11 am, a bean bag toss
competition from 6 - 8 pm, Bocci ball, shooting. ladder golf, horseshoes, volley
