The
27th Annual Arts in Education Spring Celebration is being held in the Peoria
County Courthouse Plaza from 11am - 1:30 pm every weekday through May 25th. More
than 12,000 students from over 110 schools in seven counties will perform,
exhibit and demonstrate their talents in the fine and applied arts. For a

The "Dinosaurs, Solve the Mysteries" Planetarium Show at Lakeview
Museum (located at 1125 W. Lake Ave. in Peoria) will be held on Saturdays at Noon
& 1:30 pm, Sundays at 1:30 pm and 2:15 pm and Thursdays at 6 pm through May 31st.
Visit dinosaur graveyards, study their bones and reconstruct how dinosaurs lived
and died. Admission is $4 for adults, $3.50 for youth and seniors and free for

How They Run at the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield runs through May 20. On Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, doors open at 6 pm, buffet

Peoria Chiefs will take on the Beloit Snappers tonight (Thursday) beginning

The Contemporary Art Center presents

Junior League of Peoria will host "Extreme Makeover Play Edition" at

Peoria Public Library's Lakeview Branch (1137 W Lake Ave) has reopened and will
celebrate Children's Book Week with local children's author Wayne Miller who
will read his book "Black Dog-The Reluctant Pirate" on Saturday beginning
at 11:30 am. Admission is free. His collection of self-made pirate ships which
inspired his story will also be on display. Books will be available for purchase

The8th Annual Peoria Heights Art Fair will take place on Saturday in Tower
Park from 10 am - 5 pm. Featuring a juried competition of various art including
painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, fiber
