The
Peoria Bach Festival celebrates its 10th year in 2012 with performances
through Saturday celebrating the renowned composer. All performances will be
held at Trinity Lutheran Church in downtown Peoria. For a full listing of

The
Exhibition "K'NEX Building Thrill Rides" will take place
through Sept, 1 at Lakeview Museum in Peoria. Use K'NEX rods and connectors
to build a thrill ride of your own, which will help you understand the different
properties of physics such as centrifugal force, kinetic energy, and motion.
Exhibit hours are 10 am - 5 pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, 10 am -
8 pm on Thursdays and Noon - 5 pm on Sundays. Admission is $6 for adults,
$4 for youth, $5 for senior citizens or free for members. For more information,

The
2012 Tremont Turkey Festival will take place this weekend in downtown
Tremont. Hours are 9 am - 10 pm today (Thursday), 11 am - 10 pm on Friday, 6:30
am - 10 pm on Saturday and 9 am - 5 pm on Sunday. The event features the Miss
Tremont Pageant, a pancake & sausage breakfast, a 5k race, horseshoe tournament,
antique tractor pull and lip sync contest on Saturday, community church service,
car show and parade on Sunday plus a carnival and food throughout the festival.

The
Peoria Historical Society hosts the Grandview Drive and Springdale Cemetery
Trolley Tour every Thursday from 10:30 - Noon running June through October
and every Saturday from from 1 - 2:30 pm running June through August. The Tour
leaves from Harp & Thistle in Peoria Heights.
The
Peoria Historical Society hosts the Old Peoria and the Judge Trolley Tour
every Friday in June from 10:30 am - Noon. The Tour leaves from Kelleher's Irish
Pub in downtown Peoria. Tickets each tour are $11 (including a $1 tip for the driver) and
may be purchased just prior to the tour. Senior citizens aged 65 or older ride
the trolley free with proof of age and a regular ticket purchase. For more

A-Men! presented by the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield runs Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, (doors open at 6 pm, buffet is at 6:30 pm, and

RiverFront Market takes place on the Peoria riverfront every Saturday
morning from 8 am - Noon through September in Liberty Park (at the corners of
Liberty and Water Streets) featuring local produce, meats, cheeses, breads,

Pair Up for Health, a 3-mile trail race through Wildlife Prairie Park,
will take place on
Saturday beginning at 8 am plus a Kid's Fun Run that begins at 9 am. The race
incorporates obstacles such as small hurdles, rolling hills, barrel zig zag,
military crawl, tires, stairs, a 4-foot wall and a 58-foot slide called the
Gollywhopper. The course will challenge participants with mixed terrain
including dirt roads, wooded trails, open fields and grassy paths. The

32nd Annual Moss Avenue Antique Sale & Festival will be held on Saturday
from 8 am - 3 pm. Antique and collectible dealers along with food vendors set up
along historic Moss Avenue between Western Ave and MacArthur Blvd. New this year
is live music and fine arts. Parking is available on side streets. For

The
Walk to Defeat ALS will take place at O'Brien Field on Saturday beginning with
registration at 9 am and the walk at 10 am. For more information, visit 
Sommerfestwill take place at Hickory Grove Park in Dunlap from 10 am - 9 pm on
Saturday and from Noon - 8 pm on Sunday. This two day event celebrates the
beginning of summer German-style with German food, soccer, and live entertainment.
Admission is free, however, donations are encouraged. The event is hosted
by the Peoria German-American Central Society.

Sightseeing Cruise will take place on the Spirit of Peoria on Saturday with
boarding at 12:30 pm and the cruise running from 1- 2:30 pm. Tickets are $16 for
