Hayrides and Hotdogs takes place every Thursday evening in October at Sommer Park from 5 - 7 pm. Enjoy food and drinks plus a Hayrack ride and mid-1800s Autumn Play Party activities. Children and adults costumes are strongly encouraged. Cost is $6 for ages 11+, $4 for ages 3-10 with a $25 maximum per family.
Move Over Mrs. Markham continues tonight (Thursday) at the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield and runs through November 11.  On Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, doors open at 6 pm, buffet is at 6:30 pm, and the show is at 8 pm and on Sundays, doors & the buffet open at noon, and the show is at 1:30 pm. The Haunted Infirmary at the Bartonville Insane Asylum will be open from 7 pm - Midnight every Friday and from 6 pm - Midnight every Saturday in October. Tickets are $20 each an are available in advance online at http://thehauntedinfirmary.org to ensure that wait times are as short as possible. Each ticket will gain you access to both the Haunted Infirmary and to the hay rack ride around the grounds of what used to be the Old State Hospital. The event is hosted by the Limestone JFL.

Northwoods Church is hosting a Canned Food Drive to benefit Peoria's South Side Mission and Midwest Food Bank as well as Galesburg's FISH Food Pantry and Galesburg Rescue Mission. Church members from Northwoods Community Church as well as from Northminster Presbyterian, The Vineyard, and Living Waters Lutheran churches will be dismissed from services on Saturday & Sunday to collect food for the area's hungry. Fun activities for children at the collection sites will include music, games and bouncy houses during the collections. Collection hours are on Saturday 6 - 8 pm and on Sunday from 9 am - 1 pm and locations include Kroger on North Knoxville, Aldi on North Allen Road and Walmart on North Allen in Peoria and Aldi on Main Street in Galesburg.
