Hayrides
and Hotdogs takes place every Thursday evening in October at Sommer Park
from 5 - 7 pm. Enjoy food and drinks plus a Hayrack ride and mid-1800s Autumn
Play Party activities. Children and
adults costumes are strongly encouraged. Cost is $6 for ages 11+, $4 for ages
3-10 with a $25 maximum per family.
Move
Over Mrs. Markham continues tonight (Thursday) at the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield
and runs through November 11. On Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, doors open at 6 pm, buffet is at
6:30 pm, and the show is at 8 pm and on Sundays, doors & the buffet open at
noon, and the show is at 1:30 pm. Prices are $32 for Thursdays, $34 for Fridays

The
Central Illinois Herpetological Society will meet tonight (Thursday) at
Forest Park Nature Center beginning at 7 pm featuring a speaker, raffles, announcements of
trips and exhibits and opportunities for hobbyists to interact with one another.

Peoria Historical Society All-American City Tour takes place on Friday
from 10:30 am - Noon leaving from Kelleher's Irish Pub (located at 619 SW Water
Street in Peoria). Also, the Grandview Drive and Springdale Cemetery Trolley
Tour will take place on Saturday from 10:30 am - Noon leaving from Harp &
Thistle (located at 4605 N Prospect Road in Peoria Heights).

CIAO First Fridays Artists' Tour will take place on Friday from 5 - 9 pm at 10
different locations in downtown Peoria including The Mill, Murray Center for the
Arts, the Contemporary Art Center and the Peoria Art Guild where visitors can

The
Corn Stock Theatre Winter Playhouse productions of The
Laramie Project and The Laramie Project 10 Years Later continue at 7:30 pm

45th Annual Spoon River Drive will take place in the towns of London Mills,

Muscle on Main Strongman Competition will be held on Main

Morton German Fest will be held on Saturday from 1 - 9 pm featuring German beer
and wine tasting from 1 - 5 pm and plus German food, music, and dancing behind
Wines 'n More and Morton Deli on Main Street in Morton. Entertainment and
contests will take place from 3 - 7 pm and the famous Jagerettes will be on hand

Northwoods
Church is hosting a Canned Food Drive to benefit Peoria's South Side
Mission and Midwest Food Bank as well as Galesburg's FISH Food Pantry and
Galesburg Rescue Mission. Church members from Northwoods Community Church as
well as from Northminster Presbyterian, The Vineyard, and Living Waters Lutheran
churches will be dismissed from services on Saturday & Sunday to collect food
for the area's hungry. Fun activities for children at the collection sites will
include music, games and bouncy houses during the collections. Collection hours
are on Saturday 6 - 8 pm and on Sunday from 9 am - 1 pm and locations include
Kroger on North Knoxville, Aldi on North Allen Road and Walmart on North Allen

Peoria German-American Central Society will host their annual Schlachtfest
at Hickory Grove Park (located at 12403 Hickory Grove Rd, in Dunlap) on Sunday
