The
Illinois State Fair will be held on the Illinois State Fairgrounds from 7 am
- Midnight tonight (Thursday) through Sunday, August 19. Admission is $7 for
adults (ages 13 - 59), $3 for children (ages 5-12), free for children under 5),
and $3 for senior citizens (ages 60 and older). Vehicle Parking per day is $7.
Also available are coupon books with 10 admissions for $45 for adults & $20 for

Exhibition
"K'NEX Building Thrill Rides" will take place through Sept. 1
at Lakeview Museum (located at 1125 W. Lake Ave. in Peoria) from 10 am - 5 pm
Monday -Saturday (until 8 pm on Thursdays) and from Noon - 5 pm on Sunday. Use K'NEX rods and connectors to build a thrill
ride of your own, which will help you understand the different properties of
physics such as centrifugal force, kinetic energy, and motion. Admission is $6

A Concert

Boat Drunks will perform on the CEFCU Stage at The Landing on the Peoria

RiverFront Market takes place on the Peoria riverfront every Saturday

Budweiser Grand Nationals will take place on Saturday at Peoria River Front
Park. Tickets are $15 in advance and at the gate prior to 6 pm (or $20 at the
gate after 6 pm) and are available at the Peoria Riverfront Visitors Center, all

AKids in Motion Triathalon will take place at the Reagan Center on the
Eureka College Campus beginning at 8 am on Saturday. Competitions will take

AnOpen Fishing Day from the well-stocked waters of Lake Davis will be held
at Camp Wokanda in Chillicothe on Saturday from 9 - 11 am. Fish from the shore

Peoria Ballet will host an Open House on Saturday from 10 am - 3 pm at
