annual Dunlap Days festival will be held at North Park (JFL Field located
at 100 N. Hickory Street in Dunlap) beginning at 5 pm on Thursday, 6 pm on
Friday & 7 am on Saturday. There will be live entertainment, a carnival, a beer

Exhibition
"K'NEX Building Thrill Rides" will take place through Sept. 1 at Lakeview
Museum (located at 1125 W. Lake Ave. in Peoria) from 10 am - 5 pm Monday
-Saturday (until 8 pm on Thursdays) and from Noon - 5 pm on Sunday. Use K'NEX
rods and connectors to build a thrill ride of your own, which will help you
understand the different properties of physics such as centrifugal force,

Peoria Historical Society will host the Grandview Drive and Springdale Cemetery
Trolley Tour on Saturday through October from 10:30 am - Noon
and the the River City Trolley Tour on Saturday from from 1 - 2:30 pm. Both Tours leave from Harp & Thistle (located at 4605 N
Prospect Road in Peoria Heights. Tickets are $11 (including a $1 tip for the driver)

to the River Spirit Flute Circle featuring Native American flute music or
try your hand at playing at Forest Park Nature Center (located at 5809 Forest
Park Drive in Peoria Heights) on Saturday from 1 - 2:30 pm. All levels are

Randy Starnes, a local flute maker, is the leader of the group and will have

on the Boardwalk will take place at Junction City Shopping Center (located

Cancer Center Foundation will host "Golfin' in the Wild" at Wildlife
Prairie Park (located at 3826 N. Taylor Road in Hanna City) with registration on

Annual Barbershop Harmony "Barbershoppers" concert will be held at the

The24th Annual Duck Race to Stop Abuse will take place on the Illinois River
next to the Spirit of Peoria on Sunday beginning with festivities at Noon and
the race at 3 pm. Approximately 20,000 little yellow rubber ducks will be
dropped into the Illinois River to "race" to the finish line to win prizes.
Ducks may be "adopted" for $5 each - If you adopt 5 ducks, you will get the

Shoppes at Grand Prairie will host Performances on the Prairie on Sunday

Pioneer
Days will take place at Sommer Park on Sunday from 1 - 4 pm where you can
experience firsthand the daily life of rural Peorians in the mid 19th century.
Admission is $2 per person, age four and up. Activities at the homestead, barn,
blacksmith shop and schoolhouse may include laundry, gardening, woodworking,
