Winter Wonderland will be open beginning Thanksgiving night through New
Year's Eve at the VFW Post 2078 Park off Springfield Road in East Peoria. Hours

125th Annual Santa Claus Parade will take place in Downtown Peoria on Friday

ADownton Abbey Season 2 Marathon will be held through December 21st from 10:30 am - Noon on
Fridays at the North Branch of the Peoria Public Library (located at 3001 W Grand

Harmonie-Concordia Singers of the Peoria German-American Society will host a
Kristkindlmarkt at the Lindenhof (located at 7601 N. Harker Drive in Peoria
across from Finish Line Ford) from 10 am - 5 pm on Saturday and from Noon - 5 pm
on Sunday. There will be a variety of arts and crafts plus imported items from
Germany and Austria available also. Food and beverages, typical of the

Historic
Holiday Traditions will take place on Saturday at the 132-year-old Doering
Homeplace (located at 326 Pekin Ave.in East Peoria) from 1 - 4 pm and from 6 - 8
pm. Admission is free. The Doering Homeplace provides a unique look
back in time during open houses sponsored by the East Peoria Historical Society
occurring as part of the East Peoria Festival of Lights. Holiday decorations
will include 1800s-style handmade ornaments.
