The 42nd annual Steamboat Days Festival will take place on the Peoria
Riverfront beginning tonight (Thursday), Friday at 4:30 pm and Saturday at 7 am.
Featuring a carnival, live music, food, a Steamboat Days Kickoff Cruise on the
Spirit of Peoria on Thursday beginning at 7 pm, a Bags Tournament, the All
American Lumberjack Show and a Lumberjack Kids Camp. Admission is free on
Thursday and carnival wristbands good for unlimited rides are $20 from 5 - 9 pm.
Admission on Friday & Saturday is free until 7 pm, then it's $5 per person, $10
per family and kids under 12 are free with a paid adult. For a full schedule

Life
Could be a Dream continues (Thursday) at the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield and runs through July 14. On Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, doors
open at 6 pm, buffet is at 6:30 pm, and the show is at 8 pm. On Sundays, doors &
the buffet open at noon, and the show is at 1:30 pm. Prices are $35 for

Family
Night will take place at DragonLand Water Park (located at 193 Red Bud Drive
in Pekin) tonight (Thursday) from 7 - 8:30 pm. Featuring a zero depth, play
area, two water slides that twist and turn and "Dude" the dragon slide with a
mushroom waterfall geyser play features provide wet and wild entertainment for
the whole family. Admission is $8 for a family of 4 and $1for each additional

Luke
Bryan with special guests Florida Georgia Line and Cole Swindell will
perform tonight (Thursday) at the Peoria Civic Center beginning at 7:30 pm.

Historical Society's "Old Peoria and the Judge Tour" which travels
through the earliest sections of downtown and to Peoria's Northside, will take
place every every Friday in June beginning at 10:30 am leaving from Kelleher's
Irish Pub (located at 619 SW Water Street in downtown Peoria). The Grandview
Drive and Springdale Cemetery Trolley Tour winds along Grandview Drive and
takes place every Saturday in June beginning at 10:30 am leaving from Harp &
Thistle (located at 4605 N Prospect Road in Peoria Heights). The "Naughty
to Nice Trolley Tour" traces Peoria history from 1920's to the present and
will take place every Saturday in June beginning at 1 pm leaving from Kelleher's

Blood Donor Day will take place at the Peoria Riverfront Museum on Friday

Sightseeing Cruise will take place on Friday on the Spirit of Peoria with
boarding beginning at 1:30 pm and the cruise running from 2 - 3:30 pm.

40th running of the Steamboat Classic 4 mile, 15 Kilometer and 4
Kilometer Races will take place on Saturday beginning at 7 am on Hamilton Street
(near Adams Street) in downtown Peoria. Regarded as the "World's Fastest Four
Miles", "Illinois Toughest 15K" and "Peoria's Easiest 4K", these running events

The
RiverFront Market will take place on the Peoria riverfront every
Saturday morning through September from 8 am - Noon in Liberty Park (at the
corners of Liberty and Water Streets) featuring local produce, meats, cheeses,
breads, flowers plus local art, live music and demonstrations each week. Chef
Demonstrations take place the first and 3rd Saturday of each month beginning at

Peoria
County will host a Recycling Extravaganza Event on Saturday from 9 am - 1
pm at Mid-Town Shopping Center parking lot (located at 1800 Knoxville Ave. in
Peoria - the former Cub Foods) and is free and open to Peoria county residents
who have recyclables, electronics to recycle or documents to shred. This is a
one-stop stop where you don't need to get out of your car to use the service. 
Central
Illinois Throwdown will take place at the Avanti's Dome (located at 3401
Griffin Ave. in Pekin) on Saturday with doors opening at 5 pm. Preliminary
fights begin at 5:30 pm and the main card begins at 7 pm. Tickets are $20 in

Heritage Ensemble Juneteenth, An American Celebration Concert will be

Stargazing
at Northmoor at the Northmoor Observatory (located on the Donovan Golf
Course at 5805 N. Knoxville Ave. in Peoria) will be open to the public for
stargazing from dusk until 11 pm on Saturday (If the skies are cloudless).
Volunteers will be on hand to aid you in viewing the night sky through the
telescope, locating planets and constellations, and discovering wonders of the

Peoria Motorcycle Club will host the All-Star National Flat Track Series TT
Race featuring divisions for both professional and amateur racers on Sunday
at the PMC Race Park (located at 603 S Cameron Lane in Bartonville) beginning at

Father's Day at the Peoria Zoo where dads get in free on Sunday with a paid

The
CIJS House Band will open at 6 pm with The Original Skazz Band performing
at 7:15 pm on Sunday at Landmark Recreation Center (located at 3225 N. Dries

students of Jazz including instrumentalists and vocalists playing both
