Metamora
Old Settlers Days will take place in the Park on the Square in Metamora
featuring carnival rides, craft & food tents, games, the Illinois Fallen Heroes
Traveling Memorial Wall and free nightly entertainment. Hours are 5:30 - 10 pm
tonight (Thursday), from Noon - 10 pm on Friday and beginning at 7:30 am on
Saturday. The 41st Annual Lincoln Douglas Run begins at 7:30 am and the Old

The 2013 Princeville Heritage Days will take place from 5 pm - Midnight
tonight (Thursday), Friday & Saturday and on Sunday beginning at 8 am with a

tournament, a kiddie tractor pull, a parade and a community church service

Could be a Dream continues (Thursday) at the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield and runs through July 14. On Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, doors

special day to enlighten children about the Renaissance, the "Day of
Enlightenment" just prior to the Olde English Faire will take place at

Historical Society's "Old Peoria and the Judge Tour" which travels
through the earliest sections of downtown and to Peoria's Northside, will take
place every Friday in June beginning at 10:30 am leaving from Kelleher's

Drive and Springdale Cemetery Trolley Tour winds along Grandview Drive and

to Nice Trolley Tour" traces Peoria history from 1920's to the present and

Theatre will present Jekyll and Hyde the Musical at the East Peoria High

RiverFront Market will take place on the Peoria riverfront every
Saturday morning through September from 8 am - Noon in Liberty Park (at the
corners of Liberty and Water Streets) featuring local produce, meats, cheeses,

The Olde English Faire will take place at Wildlife Prairie Park from 10 am -
5 pm on Saturday & Sunday. This event pays tribute to the sights, sounds,
aromas, speech and activities of the Middle Ages where you can cheer on sword
fighters, jousters and archers as they compete in mock battles. Take in the
tales, tricks and tunes of roving story tellers, magicians and musicians. Watch
the acrobats, musical acts and comedians amongst the flora and fauna of the
park. You can also shop with fine artisans for treasures galore plus there will
be plenty of hearty food and beverages offered throughout the Park, as well as
shaded areas to rest, restroom facilities and free parking. Admission is $10 for
adults (ages 13 & up), $6 for children (ages 3 - 12 years) and free for children
aged 2 & under. A $1 discount will be given for those who dress in full medieval

The
Peoria Zoo will host the Tiger Cubs 1st Birthday Party with
games, music and a special ice cake on Saturday beginning at 11 am. Admission is

The Summer Poetry Slam will take place on Saturday at the Peoria Public

Stargazing
at Northmoor at the Northmoor Observatory (located on the Donovan Golf
Course at 5805 N. Knoxville Ave. in Peoria) will be open to the public for
stargazing from dusk until 11 pm on Saturday (If the skies are cloudless).
Volunteers will be on hand to aid you in viewing the night sky through the
telescope, locating planets and constellations, and discovering wonders of the

Studios
on Sheridan (located in The Sunbeam Building at 929 N. Sheridan Rd. in Peoria)
will host the first annual Hot CIAO! Exhibit Opening on Saturday from 6 -
9 pm. The Central Illinois Artists Organization (CIAO) is made up of over 70
area artists working in various mediums. The reception will feature wine, hors
d'ouvres and live music from the Rosser Brothers Band. Admission is free.

The
Peoria Push Derby Dames will take on the River Demons Roller Girls in the
Peoria Civic Center Exhibit Hall on Saturday with doors opening at 4:30 pm, the

Catfish
Keith will perform on Sunday from 2 - 4 pm at the North Branch of the Peoria
Public Library (located at 3001 W Grand Pkwy in Peoria). Admission is free. A
cutting-edge blues singer, songwriter and bottleneck slide guitarist, Catfish
Keith, has established himself as one of the most exciting country blues
performers of our time. With 14 solo albums to his name, Catfish's innovative

Peoria Municipal Band will perform at the Glen Oak Park Amphitheatre

The Great Race will be held on Monday at the Gateway Building in Festival
Park beginning at noon and a Cruise-In from 9 am - 3 pm. Admission is free. An
antique, vintage and collector car competitive controlled-speed endurance road
rally on public highways, the Great Race is not a test of top speed, but a test
of a driver/navigator team's ability to follow precise course instructions and
the car's (and team's) ability to endure on a cross-country trip. The course
