The East Peoria Carnival will be held in the Festival Building parking lot
(located at 2200 E. Washington St. in East Peoria) from 5 - 9 pm tonight
(Thursday), from 5 - 10 pm on Friday, 1 - 10 pm on Saturday and from 1 - 5 pm on
Sunday. Rides, games and food will be featured with individual ride tickets
available for $1.25 each or a family pack of 20 tickets for $20 will be also
available (all rides take two or more tickets). Wristband days will be from 5- 9
pm on Thursday and from 1 - 5 pm on Sunday where a $20 wristband purchase per
person per day allows for unlimited carnival rides.
Watch
as the Peoria Chiefs try to "Strike Out Stroke", a fundraiser for the
Retreat and Refresh Stroke Camp, tonight (Thursday) beginning at 5:30 pm at
Dozer Park in Downtown Peoria. In addition to baseball, enjoy a variety of
stroke education and awareness activities and a visit from the OSF Life Flight
and inflatable MegaBrain, as well as $1 drinks and post-game fireworks. For

Civic Chorus will present Encore 2013, A Musical Revue, tonight through

The 2013 World Championship Old-Time Piano Playing Contest will take place

Peoria Chiefs will take on the Kane County Cougars tonight (Thursday) and
tomorrow beginning at 6:30 pm at Peoria Chiefs Stadium. They take on the

The 28th Annual Arts In Education Spring Celebration will be held on Friday
at the Peoria County Courthouse Plaza from 11 am - 1:30 pm. The Spring
Celebration highlights the talents of Pre-K through 12th grade students from
seven Central Illinois counties. Over 12,000 students perform, exhibit and
demonstrate their talents in the Fine Arts and Applied Arts during the six-week

Annual Louie Louie Parade kicks off the summer season at 3:30 pm on
Friday with the Louie Louie Festival immediately following the Parade on the
CEFCU Stage at The Landing on the Peoria Riverfront. The parade begins in the
Peoria Civic Center parking lot on Fulton and Monroe streets and proceeds down
Monroe to Main Street to the riverfront. Put on your craziest outfit, grab your

The 2013 Summer Camp Music Festival will be held at Three Sisters Park
(located at 17201 N State Route 29 in Chillicothe) beginning tonight (Thursday)
with a pre-party and running through Sunday evening. With more than 15,000
attendees, the event features more than 100 bands on 7 stages over 3 days. The
festival also features a kid's camp, an extensive representation of non-profit
organizations, on-site camping, unique arts & craft artisans, a variety of food

Contemporary Art Center will feature Robin Crowe Band on Friday

Zoo will host a "Behind the Scenes" Tour on Saturday from 9 - 10 am where
you can discover the answers to all your animal-related questions and access

Camp
Wokanda (located at 620 Boy Scout Rd. in Chillicothe) will host Family

Chillicothe
Xtreme Sports will host the Youth Sports Expo at the Peoria Civic Center
on Saturday beginning at 10 am and running through 7 pm. The Expo will represent
all Youth Sports in Illinois and clinics and workshops will be available.
Admission is $8 for adults, $4 for kids aged 4-12 and free for ages 3 & under.

The Mackinaw Music and International Wine & Beer Festival will be held at
Mackinaw Valley Vineyard (located at 33633 Illinois Route 9 in Mackinaw) from 11
am - 11 pm on Saturday and from 12 - 6 pm on Sunday. Hosted rain or shine in the
pavilion with bands performing at the lake gazebo and in the pavilion, this
year's event will feature over 55 wines and over 55 beers for tasting and

Saturday will take place at the Peoria Riverfront Museum on Saturday
beginning at 1 pm. Demonstrations and activities on a variety of topics will be

Stargazing
at Northmoor at the Northmoor Observatory (located on the Donovan Golf
Course at 5805 N. Knoxville Ave. in Peoria) will be open to the public for
stargazing from dusk until 11 pm on Saturday (If the skies are cloudless).
Volunteers will be on hand to aid you in viewing the night sky through the
telescope, locating planets and constellations, and discovering wonders of the

Memorial Day Remembrance Service will take place on Monday beginning at
10:30 am on the Peoria RiverFront under the Gateway Building and will pay
tribute to all of the men and women who have fought for America's freedom.
