The Peoria Bach Festival continues with performances running through Sunday celebrating the renowned composer. All performances will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church (located at 135 NE Randolph Ave. in downtown Peoria). The Peoria Chiefs will take on the Clinton LumberKings tonight (Thursday) beginning at 7 pm at Dozer Stadium. On Friday, they'll host a grand re-opening of the recently renamed Dozer Park with festivities beginning at 4:30 pm and the game against the Clinton LumberKings beginning at 7 pm with free Fun on the Run activities outside the ballparkand a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:45 pm. The first 2,000 spectators will receive a mini bulldozer souvenir, and guests can enjoy 25 cent hot dogs all night long. The Peoria Public Library Lincoln Branch will present a Juneteenth Celebration with Poetry and African Dance tonight (Thursday) from 6 - 7:30 pm. Admission is free. When the slaves in Texas finally heard they had been freed, Juneteenth was born: Celebrate Juneteenth with African dance and poetry with Brandon Thornton and poets and dancers from St. Louis and Peoria. The 47th Annual Claud-Elen Days will take place tonight (Thursday) through Sunday with carnival rides, games and food plus live entertainment in downtown Chillicothe (at City Park Stage - corner of Second Street and Chestnut). Tonight (Thursday) is Carnival Family Fun Nights from 6 - 10 pm with unlimited rides for $20 per person plus there will be a spaghetti supper, a silent auction and a newlywed game. On Friday night, the Mr. Chillicothe contest will take place. Saturday highlights include a parade at 1 pm.  The beer tent will be open Friday and Saturday with live entertainment plus there will be a Bags Tournament on Sunday. All net proceeds will be benefit non-profit organizations within the community.
The 48th Annual Tremont Turkey Festival will take place tonight (Thursday) through Sunday in downtown Tremont. Hours are 9 am - 10 pm on Thursday, 11 am - 10 pm on Friday, 6:30 am - 10 pm on Saturday and 9 am - 5 pm on Sunday. A Sightseeing Cruise will take place on the Spirit of Peoria on Friday, Saturday & Sunday with boarding beginning at 1:30 pm and the cruise running from 2 - 3:30 pm. The 2013 IHSA Class 3A & 4A State Softball Finals will take place at Eastside Centre (located at 1 Eastside Drive in East Peoria) on Friday and Saturday. The Pair Up For Health Trail Race, a 3-mile trail race challenge that incorporates obstacles such as small hurdles, rolling hills, barrel zig zag, military crawl, tires, stairs, a 4-foot wall and a 58-foot slide called the Gollywhopper, will take place on Saturday at Wildlife Prairie Park with the 5k beginning at 8 am and the Kid's Run beginning at 9 am. The course will challenge participants with mixed terrain including dirt roads, wooded trails, open fields and grassy paths. The members of the Peoria Historical Society have cleaned out their attics, basements and garages and their treasures will be sold on the front lawn of the Historic Pettingall-Morron House (1212 W.
