The 47th Annual Morton Pumpkin Festival continues tonight (Thursday) through
Sunday featuring a carnival, live music, the Miss Morton & Pumpkin Princess
pageants, a parade on Saturday, the Pumpkin Idol competition, a craft fair plus
lots of food including pumpkin specialties such as pumpkin chili, baked beans,,
pasta salad, pumpkin ice cream, shakes, cheesecake, cookies and of course,

Tuna continues tonight (Thursday) at the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield and
runs through September 29. On Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, doors

Historical Society's Naughty to Nice Trolley Tour, which traces Peoria
history from 1920's to the present, will take place every every Friday in

Peoria and takes you to places where strange sightings and legendary deaths have

honor of International Literacy Day, Common Place Family Learning Center
(located at 514 S. Shelley St. in Peoria) will host its 27th Annual Walk for
Literacy on Saturday beginning at 8:30 am. Walkers can choose between a 5k
or one-mile route, with activities along the way such as the Walk and Learn
Contest and opportunities to meet Abraham Lincoln and visit the Bookmobile, as

Peoria Public Library will host a reception for The Art of the Sell: Graphic
Designs Advertising CAT Tractors on Saturday in the Main Library Art Gallery

The1st Annual River Harvest Festival, highlighting the work being done to
protect the environment and waterways of central Illinois, will take place

Stargazing
at Northmoor at the Northmoor Observatory (located on the Donovan Golf
Course at 5805 N. Knoxville Ave. in Peoria) will be open to the public for
stargazing from dusk until 11 pm on Saturday (If the skies are cloudless).
Volunteers will be on hand to aid you in viewing the night sky through the
telescope, locating planets and constellations, and discovering wonders of the
