War Scholar, Randy Saxon, will speak tonight (Thursday) at Peoria Historical
Society 4th Quarter Meeting at the Peoria Public Library, North Branch,

'N More (located at 151 S Main St. in Morton) will host a complimentary wine
tasting tonight (Thursday) from 5 - 7 pm. Enjoy the evening on the patio with

Hayrides
and Hotdogs will take place at Sommer Park (located at 6329 N. Koerner Road
in Edwards) every Thursday night in October from 5 - 7 pm. Enjoy hot dogs for

rides and mid 1800s Autumn Play Party activities (sack races, fortune telling)

Harvey
opens tonight (Thursday) at the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield and
runs through November 10th. On Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, doors
open at 6 pm, buffet is at 6:30 pm, and the show is at 8 pm. On Sunday, doors &
the buffet open at noon, and the show is at 1:30 pm. Prices are $33 for

The Central Illinois Herpetological Society will meet at Forest Park Nature
Center tonight (Thursday) at 7 pm featuring a speaker, raffles, announcements of
trips and exhibits and opportunities for hobbyists to interact with one another.

Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) continues at the

A Pumpkin Carving Workshop will take place on Saturday from 10 am -
Noon at Camp Wokanda (located at 620 Boy Scout R. in Chillicothe) featuring
Scott "Stormin'" Norman, the "Picasso of Pumpkin Carving". Admission is $5 per
person with a $20 maximum per family and includes a pumpkin to carve yourself.
Using non-traditional tools and techniques, this master pumpkin carver will show
you new ways to decorate pumpkins for the Halloween season. The workshop will be

The Worldwide Day of Play (WWDOP), an entire day dedicated to active play,
where Nickelodeon goes completely "dark" for three hours, turning off

at Northmoor at the Northmoor Observatory (located on the Donovan Golf
