The "Ladies on the Loose" Scavenger Hunt conducted by participating businesses in downtown Morton will be held today (Thursday) from 10 am - 7 pm. Wildlife Scary Park will take place from 5 - 9 pm Friday through Sunday at Wildlife Prairie Park. Featuring a new Trick-or-Treat Trail, haunted hayrack rides and free animal encounters, the "not-so-scary" version will run from 5 - 7 pm and the "frightfully fun" version will run from 7 - 9 pm. A Punkin Chuckin' Contest will take place at The Pumpkin Farm (located at 16339 N. Springfield Rd. at the corners of Allentown & Springfield Road, rural Groveland, near Morton) on Saturday from 9:30 am to dusk. A variety of machines participate in the Morton contest including catapults, trebuchets, and some whose category needs to be determined upon their arrival.
