The "Ladies on the Loose" Scavenger Hunt conducted by participating
businesses in downtown Morton will be held today (Thursday) from 10 am - 7 pm.
There will be prizes awarded as well as special offers available. Wines 'N More
(located at 151 S Main Street in downtown Morton) will also host their "Girls'

Hayrides
and Hotdogs will take place at Sommer Park (located at 6329 N. Koerner Road
in Edwards) every Thursday night in October from 5 - 7 pm. Enjoy hot dogs for

rides and mid 1800s Autumn Play Party activities (sack races, fortune telling)

Harvey
continues (Thursday) at the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield and
runs through November 10th. On Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, doors
open at 6 pm, buffet is at 6:30 pm, and the show is at 8 pm. On Sunday, doors &
the buffet open at noon, and the show is at 1:30 pm. Prices are $33 for

present "The State of the U.S. Economy: National Security Challenge or

Annual Chrysanthemum Show will take place at Luthy Botanical Garden opening

Peoria
Historical Society's Abraham Lincoln and The Civil War Tour, which tells
the story of Lincoln's visits to Peoria, the Civil War troops and Camp Peoria &
Camp Lyon where they trained, will take place every Friday in

619 SW Water Street in downtown Peoria). The Haunted Peoria Tour explores the darker side of
Peoria and takes you to places where strange sightings and legendary deaths have

Wildlife
Scary Park will take place from 5 - 9 pm Friday through Sunday at Wildlife
Prairie Park. Featuring a new Trick-or-Treat Trail, haunted hayrack rides and
free animal encounters, the "not-so-scary" version will run from 5 - 7 pm and
the "frightfully fun" version will run from 7 - 9 pm. Admission is $8 for adults

Witches
Walk will take place at the Fondulac Farm Park (located at 305 Neumann Dr.

A Punkin Chuckin' Contest will take place at The Pumpkin Farm (located at
16339 N. Springfield Rd. at the corners of Allentown & Springfield Road, rural
Groveland, near Morton) on Saturday from 9:30 am to dusk. A variety of machines
participate in the Morton contest including catapults, trebuchets, and some
whose category needs to be determined upon their arrival. A hand tossed event is
offered for those of us who can't build a machine. Food will also be available
including rib eye steak sandwiches, pumpkin chili, pumpkin funnel cakes or ice
cream. Bring your lawn chairs to enjoy the show. Admission is $5 per vehicle.
Corn
Stock for Kids will host a Halloween Costume and Make-Up Workshop on
Saturday from 10 am - Noon at the Corn Stock Theatre Center. Fees for Corn Stock
member are $5 and $7 for non-members and the Workshop is open to kids ages 8-16.

Spirit of Peoria will host a Fall Foliage Cruise featuring a hot lunch

part of the month-long, city-wide "Citywide Celebration of Women Artists", Corn
Stock Theatre will host "Celebrating Women Actors" at their Theatre

at Northmoor at the Northmoor Observatory (located on the Donovan Golf

Volunteers will be on hand to aid you in viewing the night sky through the
telescope, locating planets and constellations, and discovering wonders of the
