Greater
Tuna opens tonight (Thursday) at the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield and
runs through September 29. On Thursday, Friday & Saturday, doors
open at 6 pm, buffet is at 6:30 pm, and the show is at 8 pm. On Sunday, doors &
the buffet open at noon, and the show is at 1:30 pm. Prices are $33 for

Peoria Chiefs close out their season against the Clinton LumberKings tonight (Thursday) & Friday
beginning at 6:30 pm each night at Dozer Stadium. Individual tickets are $10 for club box

The 12th Annual Comedy Tournament will take place at the Jukebox Comedy Club

Peoria
Historical Society's Abraham Lincoln and The Civil War Tour tells the
story of Lincoln's visits to Peoria, the Civil War troops and Camp Peoria & Camp
Lyon where they trained and will take place every Friday in August beginning at
10:30 am leaving from Kelleher's Irish Pub (located at 619 SW Water Street in
downtown Peoria). The Haunted Peoria Tour explores the darker side of
Peoria and takes you to places where strange sightings and legendary deaths have
been reported. The tour will take place every every Saturday through October beginning

downtown Peoria). And their Grandview Drive and Springdale Cemetery Trolley
Tour which winds along Grandview Drive takes place every Saturday in August

Two
Sightseeing Cruises will take place on Friday on the Spirit of Peoria with
boarding for the first one beginning at 10:30 am and the cruise running from 11 -
12:30 pm and the second cruise running from 2 - 3:30 pm. Another cruise

The Manito Popcorn Festival will take place in downtown Manito on Friday

The 35th Annual Zoo Run Run, a picturesque 5K run throughout the beautifully
landscaped Zoo grounds and surrounding Glen Oak Park, will take place on
Saturday at the Peoria Zoo beginning at 8:30 am. 5K Race registration is $25 for
members and $30 for non-members and $12 for members and $15 for non-members for
the Youth Run and all participants will receive a limited edition T-shirt,

Stargazing
at Northmoor at the Northmoor Observatory (located on the Donovan Golf
Course at 5805 N. Knoxville Ave. in Peoria) will be open to the public for
stargazing from dusk until 11 pm on Saturday (If the skies are cloudless).
Volunteers will be on hand to aid you in viewing the night sky through the
telescope, locating planets and constellations, and discovering wonders of the

Peoria Historical Society's Pettengill-Morron House Museum (located at 1212 Moss
Avenue in Peoria) will host "Miss Morron's World Travels Exhibit"
celebrating the travels of Miss Jean Morron, a lady who appreciated learning

features her 1957 four-and-half month around the world cruise including her
favorite United States destinations such as New York City, Boston and other
