The Elmwood Fall Festival will take place beginning at 5 pm tonight
(Thursday) and run through Saturday evening in downtown Elmwood. Featuring a
carnival, the Elmwood FFA Steer Show, Bingo, a pancake breakfast, a lip sync
contest, a parade and a 5K Run/Walk/Kiddie Run on Saturday plus live
entertainment throughout the festival plus food and much more. For full

The Children's Home Cattle Auction will be held tonight (Thursday) at Henri
de Tonti Park (located at 60 State St. in downtown Peoria) beginning at 5 pm
featuring a silent auction with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, dinner, live

Greater
Tuna continues tonight (Thursday) at the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield and
runs through September 29. On Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, doors
open at 6 pm, buffet is at 6:30 pm, and the show is at 8 pm. On Sunday, doors &
the buffet open at noon, and the show is at 1:30 pm. Prices are $33 for

& Shout at the Contemporary Art Center will take place tonight (Thursday)
beginning at 7:30 pm and is an open mic for sharing and inspiring poetry.

Salsa
at the Contemporary Art Center will feature a dance lesson from 8:30 - 9:30

The Central Illinois Herpetological Society will meet at Forest Park Nature
Center tonight (Thursday) at 7 pm featuring a speaker, raffles, announcements of trips and exhibits
and opportunities for hobbyists to interact with one another. Admission is free.
Membership to the CIHS is $20 per year which includes the quarterly newsletter,
Herp Alert. The Society meets the first Thursday every month at this time at
Forest Park Nature Center.

Peoria
Historical Society's Naughty to Nice Trolley Tour, which traces Peoria
history from 1920's to the present, will take place every every Friday in
September beginning at 10:30 am leaving from Kelleher's Irish Pub (located at
619 SW Water Street in downtown Peoria). The Haunted Peoria Tour explores the darker side of
Peoria and takes you to places where strange sightings and legendary deaths have
been reported and will take place every every Saturday through October beginning
at 1 pm leaving from Kelleher's Irish Pub (located at 619 SW Water Street in
downtown Peoria). And their River City Tour will take place every every
Saturday in September beginning at 10:30 am leaving from Harp & Thistle (located
at 4605 N Prospect Road in Peoria Heights). Cost for
each tour is $12 (including a $1 tip for the driver) and seniors 65 and older

The
Hayloft Shops (located on Route 29 in Mossville) will host their 31st Annual
Art Fair & Fall Festival from 10 am - 5 pm on Friday, from 9 am - 4 pm on
Saturday and from 11 am - 4 pm on Sunday. The Festival includes fine arts &
crafts, artist demonstrations, a bake sale and folk music on Saturday plus food
and most merchandise in the Hayloft Shops will be marked down 20%. There will be

The CIAO First Fridays Artists' Tour will take place on Friday from 5 - 9 pm
at 10 different locations in downtown Peoria including The Mill, Murray Center
for the Arts, the Contemporary Art Center, and the Peoria Art Guild where

RiverFront Market will take place on the Peoria riverfront every
Saturday morning through September from 8 am - Noon in Liberty Park (at the

The Art of the Sell: Graphic Designs Advertising CAT Tractors from 1915-1930
will be on display at the Peoria Public Library Main Library Gallery with a
public reception on Saturday from 1 - 3 pm, a gallery walk on September 11 and

Neon Vibe 5K will take place on Saturday at Expo Gardens (located on
Northmoor Road in Peoria) with check-in at 6:30 pm, the race at 8 pm and an

Banned will perform at the CEFCU Center Stage on the Peoria RiverFront on

Stargazing
at Northmoor at the Northmoor Observatory (located on the Donovan Golf
Course at 5805 N. Knoxville Ave. in Peoria) will be open to the public for
stargazing from dusk until 11 pm on Saturday (If the skies are cloudless).
Volunteers will be on hand to aid you in viewing the night sky through the
telescope, locating planets and constellations, and discovering wonders of the
