Forest Park Nature Center, the Peoria Audubon Society and Wildlife Prairie Park will host Eagles on the Illinois River on Saturday beginning at 10 am at Forest Park Nature Center (located at5809 Forest Park Drive in Peoria Heights). Each year hundreds of bald eagles winter in the Illinois River Valley:  learn about them with presentations featuring a live bald eagle and a tour to view bald eagles in their natural habitat along the river.  Admission is free, however donations are welcomed.
Solar System Family Day will take place at the Peoria Riverfront Museum on Saturday beginning at 11 am featuring a day of planet-themed activities, workshops plus planetarium shows. Admission is free for members or $11 for adults, $10 for seniors citizens 60+ or $9 for youth 3-17 plus Peoria county residents receive a 15% discount. Heartland Festival Orchestra will present their Vienna to Broadway New Year's Greeting concert at Five Points Performing Arts Center (located at 360 N. Wilmor Rd. in Washington) on Saturday beginning at 7:30 pm. Featuring Doug LaBrecque and Lisa Vroman, tickets are $30 for adults and $8 for students and children and are available at Kidder Music (located at 7728 N.
