The 2013 Caregiver Night Out will be held tonight (Thursday) at 1st United Methodist Church (located at 116 NE Perry in Peoria) from 5 - 8 pm. This event is for caregivers or grandparents who are raising grandchildren as well as professional caregivers. Deck the Halls opens tonight (Thursday) at the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield and runs through December 31st. The League of Women Voters of Greater Peoria will hold a free meeting for small business owners on the Affordable Care Act tonight (Thursday) beginning at 6:30 pm at the Washington Township Hall (located at 58 Valley Forge Drive in Washington). A specialist from the Small Business Health Care Consortium and counselor from the Tazewell County Health Department will be on hand to answer questions while attendees learn about tax credits, insurance levels and brokers, affordability and more. Civil War Winter Quarters will be held at Sommer Park (located at 6329 N. Koerner Road in Edwards) from 10 am - 4 pm on Saturday & from 10 am - 3 pm on Sunday. Admission is $5 per vehicle. History comes to life as Civil War soldiers construct winter quarters and prepare for their winter encampment. Living Historians in authentic uniforms will use period tools and construction methods to build handmade wooden shelters to protect themselves from the approaching winter weather.
