The 43rd annual Steamboat Days Festivalwill take place on the Peoria Riverfront beginning tonight (Thursday) beginning at 4:30 pm, Friday at 3 pm and Saturday at 7 am. Featuring a carnival, a NASCAR racing simulator, a craft show, live music, food and a Bags Tournament, admission is free on Thursday with carnival wristbands good for unlimited rides are $20 from 5 - 9 pm. Admission on Friday & Saturday is free until 6 pm, then it's $5 per person and kids under 12 are free with a paid adult. A Pasta Party for St. Jude will take place tonight (Thursday) from 5 - 7:30 pm at Barrack's Cater Inn (located at 1224 W Pioneer Pkwy. in Peoria). There will be pasta, pizza, door prizes, a silent auction and a live jazz band. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for kids.

Boeing, Boeing finishes its run this weekend with performances tonight (Thursday) through Sunday at the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield. Peoria Historical Society's Grandview Drive & Springdale Cemetery Trolley Tour will take place every Friday in June beginning at 10:30 am leaving from Harp & Thistle (located at 4605 N Prospect Road in Peoria Heights). The Abraham Lincoln and The Civil War Tour will run every Saturday in June beginning at 10:30 am and tells the story of Lincoln's visits to Peoria, the Civil War troops and Camp Peoria & Camp Lyon where they trained. This tour leaves from Kelleher's Irish Pub, (located at 619 SW Water Street near State St. in downtown Peoria)  And the Naughty to Nice Trolley Tour takes place every Saturday in June beginning at 1 pm leaving from Kelleher's Irish Pub (located at 619 SW Water Street in downtown Peoria) and traces Peoria history from 1920's to the present and includes stories of the city's gangster era, including driving by the site of Peoria's most notorious crime scene.  Cost for each tour is $15 and seniors 65 and older ride the trolley free with proof of age and a regular ticket purchase. A Lego Robotics Workshop will be held at the Peoria Riverfront Museum on Saturday from 1 - 4 pm. Members of the FIRST Robotics Team 1736 will lead the workshop geared towards beginners (ages 8-14) introducing participants to building and programming robots using Lego Mindstorm's NXT Robotics kits. A fun, educational and interactive experience where students will learn about robots, programming and computer skills, all materials will be provided.
