The 2014 Princeville Heritage Days will take place from 5 pm - midnight tonight (Thursday), 9 am - Midnight on Friday from 7 am - Midnight on Saturday and beginning at 8 am with a pancake & sausage breakfast on Sunday. There will be food, a carnival, a beer tent, live entertainment, an art show a talent show, an auction plus vendors, a bags tournament, a kiddie tractor pull, a parade and a community church service beginning at 10:30 am on Sunday. Metamora Old Settlers Days will take place in the Park on the Square in Metamora featuring carnival rides, craft & food tents, games and free nightly entertainment. You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown opens with performances tonight (Thursday) through Sunday through July 27 at the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield. On Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, doors open at 6 pm, buffet is at 6:30 pm, and the show is at 8 pm. On Sundays, doors & the buffet open at noon and the show is at 1:30 pm. The Illinois State Dental Society Foundation will host Peoria Mission of Mercy, a two-day program offering an estimated $1 million in free dental services for both children and adults at the Peoria Civic Center beginning at 6 am on Friday and Saturday and will remain open until the clinic fills to capacity for the day. Services will emphasize basic dental care, including cleanings, fillings, extractions and limited partials. There are no eligibility requirements; first come, first served. Peoria Historical Society's Grandview Drive & Springdale Cemetery Trolley Tour will take place every Friday in June beginning at 10:30 am leaving from Harp & Thistle (located at 4605 N Prospect Road in Peoria Heights). The Abraham Lincoln and The Civil War Tour will run every Saturday in June beginning at 10:30 am and tells the story of Lincoln's visits to Peoria, the Civil War troops and Camp Peoria & Camp Lyon where they trained. This tour leaves from Kelleher's Irish Pub, (located at 619 SW Water Street near State St. in downtown Peoria)  And the Naughty to Nice Trolley Tour takes place every Saturday in June beginning at 1 pm leaving from Kelleher's Irish Pub (located at 619 SW Water Street in downtown Peoria) and traces Peoria history from 1920's to the present and includes stories of the city's gangster era, including driving by the site of Peoria's most notorious crime scene.  Cost for each tour is $15 and seniors 65 and older ride the trolley free with proof of age and a regular ticket purchase.
