The
annual Fireworks Spectacular at
Glen Oak Amphitheatre will take place
tonight (Thursday) from 4 - 10 pm with
live entertainment and fireworks.
Admission is free. Entertainment
includes the PPD Explosion Cheer Team
from 4 - 4:30 pm, Troope Mirage from
4:30 - 5 pm, the cast of Community
Children's Theatre's "Ragtime School
Edition" from 5 - 5:30 pm, the JC & the
Redemption from 6 - 7:30 pm and the
Municipal Band Patriotic Concert at 8
pm. Fireworks Begin at dark. Bring
blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the
show. Pack a picnic dinner or enjoy food
from vendors in the park. Paid packages
include the Patriot Package: for $25,
enjoy reserved bench seating for 4 in
the Amphitheatre or the Star package is
$50 and includes reserved bench seating
or a grassy picnic spot for 4, 2 free
meal tickets plus 1 reserved parking
spot in the Glen Oak Amphitheatre

Whisper
& Shout at the Contemporary Art
Center, open mic for sharing and
inspiring poetry, will take place
tonight (Thursday) with doors opening at
7:30 pm and the show at 8 pm. Admission
is $4 for members or $8 for non-members.
Red,
White and New Comedy Nights will
take place at the Jukebox Comedy Club
tonight (Thursday) at 8 pm and Saturday

Red, White & Boom Fireworks Display
will take place on Friday on the Peoria
riverfront beginning at 5 pm with
vendors, live entertainment and more.
The synchronized fireworks show is
scheduled to begin at 9:30 pm. Listen

Historical Society's
Naughty to Nice Trolley Tour takes
place every Saturday in July beginning
at 10:30 am leaving from Kelleher's Irish
Pub (located at 619 SW Water Street in
downtown Peoria) and traces Peoria
history from 1920's to the present and
includes stories of the city's gangster
era, including driving by the site of
Peoria's most notorious crime scene.
The "Roll Out the Barrel Tour"
takes you through the earliest sections
of downtown Peoria and into the
Warehouse District where you'll discover
facts about distilling in Peoria running
every Saturday in July beginning at 1 pm
also leaving from Kelleher's Irish Pub. Cost for each tour is $15 and seniors 65
and older ride the trolley free with
proof of age and a regular ticket

Money will perform on Friday on the
Peoria RiverFront with Southern rock
band The Georgia Satellites opening

the Good Old Summertime", a
nostalgic photo exhibit featuring
historical summer scenes and activities
in old Peoria, will take place on Sunday
at the John C. Flanagan House Museum
(located at 942 NE Glen Oak Ave. in

displays of early swimsuits, delicate
white Edwardian lawn dresses, vintage
tools exhibits, sports and river life.
