The Illinois State Fair opened this
morning on the Illinois State
Fairgrounds and runs from 7 am -
Midnight each day through Sunday, August
17. Admission is $7 for adults (ages 13
- 59), $3 for children (ages 5-12), free
for children under 5), and $3 for senior
citizens (ages 60 and older). Vehicle
Parking per day is $7. Also available
are coupon books with 10 admissions for
$45 for adults & $20 for children &

Old Settler's Days will take place
beginning at 5:30 pm tonight (Thursday),

Historical Society's Grandview Drive
& Springdale Cemetery Trolley Tour
winds along Grandview Drive takes place
every Friday in August beginning at
10:30 am leaving from Harp & Thistle
(located at 4605 N Prospect Road in
Peoria Heights). 
The Mid-America Antique Show will be
held at Expo Gardens located on
Northmoor Road in Peoria (near Richwoods

Creation Stations, World and Cultural

demonstrations. Creation Stations will
feature a range of hands-on activities
such as metal stamping, caricatures,
photography portraits, artistic
displays, a musical instrument petting
zoo. This area will also feature art on
display and artists demonstrating their
art in action. The event is free

The RiverFront Market takes place on
the Peoria riverfront every Saturday
morning through September from 8 am -
Noon (located in the 200 Block of SW
Water Street directly across from the
Peoria Riverfront Museum) featuring
local produce, meats, cheeses, breads,

Park will host an Open House and
Picnic in honor of their 50th
Anniversary on Saturday from 10 am - 5
