The 2014 Pekin Marigold Festival will be held tonight (Thursday) through Saturday at Mineral Springs Park in Pekin featuring Duck Dynasty star Tim Guraedy "Mountain Man", live entertainment, a sand volleyball tournament, the Marigold 5k Run/Walk, a carnival, a climbing wall, a "top dog" pageant, a parade, kids activities, food plus much more. The Hayloft's 32nd Annual Art and Craft Fair starts at 10 am on Friday and continues through Sunday. Peoria Historical Society's River City Trolley Tour winds along Grandview Drive takes place on Friday beginning at 10:30 am leaving from Harp & Thistle (located at 4605 N Prospect Road in Peoria Heights).  The Abraham Lincoln Trolley Tourtakes place on Saturday beginning at 10:30 am leaving from Kelleher's Irish Pub (located at 619 SW Water Street in downtown Peoria) and takes you through Springdale Cemetery to see the final resting place of Civil War veterans and by the GAR Hall, built in 1909 and hear the story of Joseph Greenhut, one of the Whiskey Barons who provided funding for the Hall.  The Haunted Peoria Tour where you'll hear the stories behind the ghostly appearances that have startled and puzzled Peorians through the yearsalso on Saturday beginning at 1 pm also leaving from Kelleher's Irish Pub.  Cost for each tour is $15 and seniors 65 and older ride the trolley free with proof of age and a regular ticket purchase. The CIAO First Fridays Artists' Tour will take place on Friday from 5 - 9 pm at 10 different locations in downtown Peoria including The Mill, Murray Center for the Arts, the Contemporary Art Center, and the Peoria Art Guild where visitors can view artist demonstrations as well as purchase pieces.
