The 2014 Pekin Marigold Festival will
be held tonight (Thursday) through
Saturday at Mineral Springs Park in
Pekin featuring Duck Dynasty star Tim
Guraedy "Mountain Man", live
entertainment, a sand volleyball
tournament, the Marigold 5k Run/Walk, a
carnival, a climbing wall, a "top dog"
pageant, a parade, kids activities, food

Elmwood Fall Festival will take
place on the square in downtown Elmwood
beginning at 5 pm tonight (Thursday) &
Friday and at 10 am on Saturday.
Featuring carnival rides, a parade,

Society will meet at Forest Park

Astronomy
for Everyone will take place at the
Chillicothe Public Library (located at
430 N Bradley Ave. in Chillicothe)

Following an indoor presentation by
astronomer Kevin Manning, you can view
celestial objects in the night sky

Whisper
& Shout will take place at the
Contemporary Art Center tonight
(Thursday) with doors opening at 7:30
pm. An open mic for sharing and
inspiring poetry. admission is $4 for

The
Hayloft's 32nd Annual Art and Craft
Fair starts at 10 am on Friday and
continues through Sunday. The fair will
feature more than 25 craftsmen and
artists and include folk music and lunch
served by Haddads Downtown. On Saturday,
the Mossville Volunteer Firemen will
host their annual pancake breakfast from

The CIAO First Fridays Artists' Tour
will take place on Friday from 5 - 9 pm
at 10 different locations in downtown
Peoria including The Mill, Murray Center
for the Arts, the Contemporary Art
Center, and the Peoria Art Guild where
visitors can view artist demonstrations
as well as purchase pieces. For a

at the Five Spot at the Contemporary Art
Center will feature the DC3 on Friday beginning at

Night RPGS will take place on Friday
at the Chillicothe Public Library

18 and up only who have always wanted to
get into tabletop games, such as
Pathfinder and Dungeons & Dragons but
didn't know where to start. Hosted by a
long-time gamer, you can learn the
basics of building characters, creating
epic storylines, and fighting enemies.

Central College's 34th annual
Landscape and Garden Day will take
place on Saturday on the ICC East Peoria
Campus from 9 am - 3 pm. The free public
event will feature topics and
demonstrations for gardeners of all ages
and skill levels. This year's theme is
"Welcome to My Garden." There will be
pizza garden, seminars, exhibits, taste

Hill will host the 2014 Chautauqua
