The Heart of Illinois Fair continues at Expo Gardens (located at 1601 West Northmoor Road in Peoria) today (Thursday) through Saturday with gates open from 10 am - 10 pm each day. Attractions include a carnival, live entertainment, a bags tournament, a kiddie tractor pull, a KCBS BBQ cook-off, a petting zoo, and the Rising Star Singing Contest. The Friends of Rocky Glen will host an All-Day Celebration at Jimmy's Bar (located at 2801 W. Farmington Road in Peoria) on Saturday beginning at 9 am. Hike Peoria's newest park, Rocky Glen, then enjoy a free breakfast or lunch and live music. The first hike starts at 9 am with breakfast at 10 am and lunch at 11:30 am. Peoria Historical Society's Naughty to Nice Trolley Tour takes place every Saturday in July beginning at 10:30 am leaving from Kelleher's Irish Pub (located at 619 SW Water Street in downtown Peoria) and traces Peoria history from 1920's to the present and includes stories of the city's gangster era, including driving by the site of Peoria's most notorious crime scene.  The "Roll Out the Barrel Tour" takes you through the earliest sections of downtown Peoria and into the Warehouse District where you'll discover facts about distilling in Peoria running every Saturday in July beginning at 1 pm also leaving from Kelleher's Irish Pub.  Cost for each tour is $15 and seniors 65 and older ride the trolley free with proof of age and a regular ticket purchase.
