in the Park will feature The West
MacQueen Street Band tonight (Thursday) at the new Idlewood
Arts Pavilion (located at the corners of
Idlewood & Parkside in Morton) beginning
at 7 pm. Admission is free. In case of

Historical Society's Grandview Drive
& Springdale Cemetery Trolley Tour
winds along Grandview Drive takes place
every Friday in August beginning at
10:30 am leaving from Harp & Thistle
(located at 4605 N Prospect Road in
Peoria Heights). 
A Sightseeing Cruise will take
place on the Spirit of Peoria on Friday,
Saturday and Sunday with with boarding
beginning at 1:30 pm and the cruise
running from 2 - 3:30 pm. There will
also be an early cruise on Saturday from
11 am - 12:30 pm. Tickets are
$16 for adults, $14 for senior citizens,
$10 for kids 4-12 and free for infants
and are available at the dock or online

The
9th Annual Tower Park Music Festival
will take place at Prospect and Glen in
Peoria Heights from 3 - 11 pm on Friday
& Saturday featuring a variety of live
music plus food, a beer tent and family
fun around Tower Park. Bands include
Heavy Shake, Roundstone Buskers, Sol,
Paige DeChausse and the Reverent Few on
Friday and the Robin Crowe Band, The
Midnight Special, Celetricity with Barry
Cloyd and Drivetrain Feat with Nick
Boettcher on Saturday. Admission is

The CIAO First Fridays Artists' Tour
will take place on Friday from 5 - 9 pm
at 10 different locations in downtown
Peoria including The Mill, Murray Center
for the Arts, the Contemporary Art
Center, and the Peoria Art Guild where

8th Annual Bilingual Health Fair to
promote a "Healthy Happy Community" will
take place at Peoria Friendship House

India Fest at The CEFCU Center Stage
on Saturday beginning at 2 pm. Featuring
live music, authentic Indian cuisine,
traditional Indian dancing, a kids area

for adults before 5 pm and $7 after 5 pm

the Good Old Summertime", a
nostalgic photo exhibit featuring
historical summer scenes and activities
in old Peoria, will take place at the
John C. Flanagan House Museum (located
