"Home
for the Holidays: Celebrating Our
Veterans and Their Memories" is on
display through December 30 at the
Peoria Public Library Main Library
Gallery (located at 107 N.E. Monroe in
Peoria). The library will be closed on
Thursday (Christmas Day). Admission is
free. 
The
Nature Art Show & Sale continues at
Forest Park Nature Center (located at
5809 N. Forest Park Dr. in Peoria
Heights) featuring a diversity of media
created by local artists. Find
nature-related photographs,
woodcarvings, paintings, jewelry and
more. Hours are 9 am - 5 pm Monday
through Saturday and 1 - 5 pm on Sunday.
Forest Park Nature Center will be closed
on Thursday (Christmas Day). For more

Folepi's
Winter Wonderland runs through New
Year's Eve at the VFW Post 2078 Park off
Springfield Road (located at 123 Par 3
Lane in East Peoria). The drive-through
electric park is the Festival of Lights'
signature event featuring the majority
of the Parade of Lights floats and many
other lighted displays. Hours are 5 - 9
pm Sundays through Thursdays and 5 - 11
pm on Fridays & Saturdays. Cost is $10
for all vehicles excepts full size
buses, which are $150. For more

The Kwanzaa Display at Luthy
Botanical Garden (located at 2520 N
Prospect Rd. in Peoria) opens on Friday
featuring a display of African plants
throughout the Holiday Poinsettia Show.
Learn the significance of Mishumaa Saba
and Zawadi. Hours are 10 am - 5 pm
Tuesday through Saturday, 12 - 5 pm on
Sundays and closed on Mondays.
Conservatory admission will be waived
during the holidays, however donations
are accepted.
The Peoria Rivermen will take on the
Columbus Cottonmouths on Friday &
Saturday at the Peoria Civic Center
Arena beginning at 7 pm each night.
Tickets are $17 and $20 for lower bowl
tickets and $10 and $12 for upper bowl
tickets and are available at the Peoria
Civic Center, all Ticketmaster

Ronnie
Baker Brooks will perform at the
Limelight Eventplex (located at 8102 N.
University in Peoria) on Friday
beginning at 8 pm. Tickets are $15 in
advance $20 day of show and are
available at the Limelight Eventplex box

Blue
Christmas will be presented at the
Jukebox Comedy Club on Friday and
Saturday at 9 pm featuring local
professionals Joe Roderick, Drift
Roberts & Jeff Bailey. Tickets are $10.
